Jeff White has provided the most appropriate response to this question and deviation from this is a recipe for litigation. In essence you must identify the firearms training requirements for the State or Jurisdiction your armed security personnel will be operating in. Using that and its...
Heya Rusty,
Sorry for jumping in on this but I recently aquired a 550B and already had the LCCT. Insofar as production speed and volume hand's down the 550B wins, you have fewer handle pulls per loaded round also.
With that said I'd say I'm pleased with the 550B but I'm keeping the LCCT for...
I started out on an RCBS Jr and gave it to a friend years ago so he could start reloading too. The Jr is strong and sturdy and will last several lifetimes with proper care and use.
One thing to consider though is it doesn't have or use a compound leverage system so it can require a little more...
It does look nice and I'd like to see pictures of a press set up with it. I've used angle iron for bench or vise press mounting adaptations in the past. Gotta say though these set ups your discussing look a lot neater.

The concept of a reloading club is very vaild and many firearms clubs with ranges have reloading equipment set up for members use. What you want to do can very well be done, check with the NRA to see what clubs are near you and get a contact name and number.
If this doesn't work than look into...
hotwheelz,
FWIW I've used/owned & tried progressive presses of the red, green and blue market brand's. I lean more toward's Big Blue and the Green Giant brand's now though.

The Dillon 550B & 650 for the most part use any standard newer dies. The Dillon Sq. Deal B is the only press using Dillon only dies. The dillon 550B is a four staion manualy indexing press with the 650 being a 5 station auto indexing press.
Of the two options I feel either will work, while...
Minor side trac here but...Linear Thinker and other's running 1050's, w/o a doubt they are idea for your usage and they are impressive presses. Given that is it more prudent to use one of them for a primary caliber and not change it to another? I guess what I'm asking is could you come out ahead...
Good response from Dr. D. Another thing to help you is have everything set up for your loading session before you start your run. I.E. shells, primers, bulletts and powder. Have good lighting and if possible set up a small mirror as well as a small LED light to view down into your shells.

Enjoy your new LnL AP, it should do well for you and I too look forward to reading your comments as you set it up and run it. A lot of people have them and are running them now so help and information is only key strokes away.

Intresting comment's from all...Hotwheelz, I've owned and operated a Lee pro 1000 for a lot of years and tested a Lee Load Master before I purchased my Dillon 550B. I don't regret the time spent with the Lp1K but realized I didn't have it in me to get and keep Load Master up and running.
I...

I'm using a 550B mow myself and I'll be purchasing a set of RCBS die's for it. My only reason for the RCBS die's is I like their rifle die's better. But, in truth you've recieved excellent information already from the prior posts.

If your volume is expectd to increase i'd say your best bet is a 650 w/electric case feed. I went through the same decision process as you, as I also have an older upgraded PiggyBack I. I chose a 550B based upon my specific needs.

For a solid O frame press such as the Lee Classic Cast press, a Redding or RCBS RockChucker I would recommend either an RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure or a Redding or Hornady. However the good ole Lyman #55 is great too.
