I looked into those, but what i see the XD doesnt like the Semi Wad cutter. I'm new to reloading and wanted to make sure I wouldnt do any premature wearing to my gun or anything by shooting a light load

Once fired range brass 230 gr. Mil.Surplus pulled FMJ bullet Federal Large Pistol Primer 5.6 grains Win. Autocomp. Seated at 1.25 o.a.l The goal for this load was to reduce felt recoil. Winchester reloading data is 6.0 grain min. at 1.20 Oal. Am I too light on this load? Im shooting it...

no not at all married to that powder. Just kind of trying to save money as this was local and didnt have to pay hazmat fee. What would yall recommend for powder? I was looking at the load data for Clays and it looks nice,but cant get it loaclly. So might have to bight that bullet and order online

So I will be loading .45 ACP for my Springfield XD 4" barrel. 230 gr. FMJ with 6.0 Grns. of Autocomp Powder. Winchester load data shows 789 fps wich would give a powerfactor of 187. Could I load a 5.5 grains and be ok? I want less recoil but still be able to make major PF. Thanks guys.
