Hawaii could be first to put gun owners in federal database

I previously lived in Hawaii while serving in the US Air Force. I dutifully registered my firearms when I arrived. I don't recall any process for un-registering when I left in 1992. Can anyone suggest what agency in Hawaii I might contact to see if they plan to enter me in the FBI database...

Does your DOD activity's PX, NEX or BX sell firearms

The Offutt AFB BX has a gun counter with a good selection of handguns & long guns. I bought a Walther PPS two years ago and a CMMG AR-15 just before Christmas 2012. Dennis

Why keep bringing up the 2nd Amendment?

No, I don't believe it is a reasonable interpretation. While "well-schooled" is not synonymous with "well-regulated", in this context I don't believe it matters. The framers didn't say that a well-regulated militia has the right to keep and bear arms. They said the people have a right to...

Why keep bringing up the 2nd Amendment?

Timmy, I've been following the discussion, and I'd like to try to provide an answer to your question: "In the first part of the 2nd Amendment, what does the term "well-regulated" mean". The meaning of the 2nd Amendment has been debated for years. J. Neil Schulman proposed a novel way to...

    Nebraska CCW License?

I can provide a little more information. As of last week Nebraska has issued slightly over 2500 permits, because the number on my permit is slightly over 2500. Dennis

DC Mayor outraged, plans to continue enforcing the handgun ban.

Many DC residents may already own guns The first affected group may be those people who moved to DC and left guns they already owned in storage outside the district. Since they already own those firearms they wouldn't have to purchase them, just move them them to their present home. Dennis

Pro gun bumper stickers and CCW

I can't argue with those that refrain from displaying bumper stickers to avoid attracting unwanted attention. However, one bumper sticker just "called" to me and I put it on the Jeep. It has a bright yellow background, the text in bold black letters reads: Fight Crime Shoot Back...

    Loaning handgun to out-of-state brother

Thank you all The option to "loan" for "temporary use for lawful sporting purposes" was the provision I found on the BATF web site. I tend to agree with everyone who has posted that it's a legal gray area. I don't think a loan of several months complies with the spirit of the regulation, even...

    Loaning handgun to out-of-state brother

If anyone can point me to a reliable source of information that helps me answer a question I'd appreciate it. I live in Nebraska. My brother lives in Florida. He's finally decided that having a handgun for self defense is a good idea. The home invasion murder a block from his house helped...
