I believe the general consensus is that if you...
That seems to be the case:
"We don't think the weapons are illegal; we are taking them for public safety," Craig said, adding that it was a preemptive step to ensure the ammunition or guns wouldn't be stolen from the home. (LA Times)
There is much joking about having gun buying "addictions"...
Even from a tactical standpoint this is utter nonsense. What good is your reduced sensitivity to gunshots when you can no longer hear the baddy creeping around the corner?
As a general rule, I will avoid any .22LR pistol with a fully reciprocating slide. I think the recoil energy for most loads is just to darn close to not being able to fully actuate the slide mass. I had a P22 that was a jam o matic, even with CCI mini-mags. Accuracy was just bad enough to...
This. Like I mentioned in my previous post, this is a particular concern of mine for designs that use a radio signal between the watch and the gun (like the armatix).
I drive by the blue dome of the old Colt building every morning on my way to work, and it reminds me that the company has been living in the shadow of its former self for quite some time now.
I think the company will need to reinvent itself to survive, as the government contracts won't last...
I used to think so too, so I went ahead and bought myself a pretty nice one. I have to admit if I am ever forced to sell one of my firearms it would be the first to go though. It's weight and capacity, in my opinion, limit its utility in the modern age (As are most other things designed over 100...
Obviously a bright kid, but I do not agree with placing any sort of electronic locks on a firearm.
I find fingerprint scanners incredibly finicky whenever I use them, but I actually think Eric Holder's electronic bracelet idea is even worse. Radio signals between the bracelet and your gun...
This. I have respect for the m9 in its own right, but like it or not, it is a 40 year old design. There are much more modern designs (m&p, XDm, vp9, etc) out there that can fulfill the same role, perhaps with even greater reliability, without the weight or bulk. Probably at reduced cost too...
Gunvault minivault bedside for me, I have a pistol though right now for primary HD duty. It works great for pistols. I'm not sure about securing a shotgun though.
Hickok45, nutnfancy, 22plinkster.
If you haven't seen any of 22plinkster's videos, he is an incredible shooter...
Now, if anyone says FPSrussia I may slap them.
