Hello. I am looking to purchase a new M&P 9 as my first handgun. Is there any reliable way to make sure I get the newer model with the new trigger? Thanks.
Wow, that's a really good point. I had not considered a conversion kit. That would save me a lot of money learning how to properly use it.
In the event I go ahead and order a M&P 9, is there anyway to tell if I am getting the new trigger and not the old trigger?
They do offer classes but they require you bring your own firearm.
Not many easy ways for new shooters to get into shooting besides just making the investment and purchasing one to start with. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to just buy the M&P 9.
Thanks for your help everyone.
I have only one friend who shoots but we have different schedules & locations so I was hoping not to hassle him more than I already have lol... He's been answering most of my dumb "new shooter" type questions.
To be honest, I'm seriously considering just going ahead and buying the Smith &...
Seeing if they will let me just hold each one is a good idea. It couldn't hurt to ask.
I only have one friend who shoots and our schedules (and locations) don't match up at all. So I was trying to figure out how not to hassle him about it to be honest.
Hello everyone,
I am working on purchasing my first handgun. I have some experience with firearms but not a lot.
I have narrowed down the handgun I'd like to buy to the the Glock 17 or the M&P9.
I have a range close to me who rents them but they will not let me rent a handgun if I don't...
It sounds like I've picked the absolutely worst time to get interested in shooting. Should I wait a few months (or a year?) to begin?
I may buy a Ruger 10/22, but otherwise I will wait for prices to drop a little and consider purchasing what I really want.
On to pistols, can anyone...
Wow, the wealth of knowledge here is greatly appreciated.
So far everything thinks it's a good idea to have a Ruger 10/22. I think it would be wise to own one regardless of my future plan to upgrade. Or perhaps I will get a S&W M&P 15-22? Might be a good training rifle until I can afford an...
Taking all the advice into account I think I will go to my local range and rent a few different pistols before making a decision.
As for a rifle, it sounds like there are a lot of advantages to building an AR-15. I may just wait for the prices to go down a bit before I make a decision on a...
For handguns I have shot 9mm, 45 ACP, 22lr, & some other random assortments. I found them all enjoyable & comfortable. I prefer less "kick" when I fire. The "humm" some of the larger rounds leave in my hand can be uncomfortable.
I had initially considered an XD 5.2" 45ACP, but a friend advised...
Hello. I am not even sure if this is the appropriate place to post an introductory thread and if not I apologize in advance. I'm a little nervous posting here for the first time because I'm not very knowledgeable but I am willing to learn and interested. I have been watching YouTube reviews and...
