Ok, no luck finding one anywhere. Looks like I'm just going to have to make it. Going to order some 1.5" round stock tomorrow. Don't know if I want to go with alum. or stainless. Leaning toward alum. Any thoughts? DJ

H&R didn't have it either. Can't find anything on the Verona 405. Don't know what to do now. If I had one to look at I might be able to make it on the lathe. DJ

Already tried Jack first and gunbroker before making this post. May have to try finding parts for the Verona 405.

I'm needing a gas piston assembly for the H&R Excell. Does anyone know how to get ahold of one? The gun is in perfect shape just missing the gas piston and seals. DJ

RC I think thats it. I'm trying to find a spring that will work in the little scout. I have tried adding spacers to the spring guide but no help the spring is miss shaped and I'm guessing to weak. The problem isn't as hard to fix in the crackshot, I'm going to make a new spring plunger...

Tried a couple different brands of ammo. The old firing pin was broke, so I don't know if it was bad or if it had a weak mainspring. I was thinking it was getting good hard firing pin strikes but not real sure now. I was comparing it to the primer strikes I was getting from a marlin 60's...

I've been trying to make a firing pin for a Stevens Crackshot and little scout. Turned them down on a lathe, fit them to the breech block, and they have good protrution. I'm getting hard strikes on the primers of the .22 shells but no bang. What's up. I can't figure were I'm going wrong...

This AR is in 5.56 and when shooting .223 ammo through it, it hangs about every third shot. Would that be do to lower pressures in the .223 or does the gun have problems? I haven't fired 5.56 ammo in this gun yet (can't find any local yet). DJ

Yeah it should remove it fine. When you get it striped do a small test area first to see if it will be dark enough if not you may have to get a lighter stain. It's hard to match the color of a forearm and buttstock if they are not the same wood. You can do it but it may take a couple of...
