    Need A .45 ACP

I'm going to jump in on this one and recommend the Sig P220 SAO line. I have one of the carry models with the elite frame (beavertail), and it has been nothing but a pleasure to shoot. Best thing about the SAO models? The safety is positioned like a 1911, but you can rack the slide to...

Ruger the new Hi-Point and other weird trade offers

I don't know if he was serious, but a guy offered me a night with his wife for an AR I was selling a year or so ago. I would have thought he was joking - if he hadn't included pictures.

    Fn tsr xp

Congratulations! I'd be curious to know what you think of the rifle - I've found myself in the same position as well, and am looking for a good rifle.

    Marlin Model 60 optic?

Thanks for the replies y'all! Arkansas - That's the scope I am currently most interested in. Good price point, and I know you're getting better optical quality with a fixed, rather than a variable, scope. Time to use that Amazon Prime membership again and do some shoppin'.

    Marlin Model 60 optic?

Hey y'all, After refinishing the stock and cleaning it all up, my stainless Model 60 is begging for a new scope - and I would like some suggestions from you dear folks! I'm not looking for anything special, though certain qualities would be preferred: Clear optics Adjustable focus...

    SR22 - but in a larger caliber?

Over the years I have shot a large variety of handguns, but I have to say that none has ever felt as good in my hand as the Ruger SR22! The problem is, it's a .22. If it were a larger caliber, say .380 or 9mm, I'd carry that thing every day. Can anyone make a suggestion as to what would...

AR - DI vs Piston - Gas to face LH?

Hey all, Quick question: I shoot rifles left handed, and have always felt/experienced gas to the face while firing an AR - will this problem be mitigated with a piston system? I don't have the opportunity to fire one and see, so I'm putting this one to the masses. If it does remove the...

    Pistol values please?

Hey all, I've been thinking about letting go one of my .45s, and would like some input as to the value of each if you don't mind! Both are in excellent condition, and I'll give what each would include in the sale to help in assessing value. Thanks for any input you can provide. 1...

    I need Suggestions for a New .45acp

If you could see your way past some small barrel length differences and capacity being a bit lower, you'd be hard pressed - in my opinion - to go wrong with either the HK45 or the compact. It will in all likelihood be my next .45.

What are your criteria to determine whether a semiautomatic works for you?

For me, and it's a little odd, it's gotta have a mag release I can operate easily. I simply do not like having to shift my grip or roll the pistol to access and manipulate it. Like a few others have said, it may feel great in the shop and on the couch, but what it does on the range is a...

    Sig P220 Carry SAO

Phaedrus - you may not have gone with one for the time being, but I have to say this is one of the nicest firearms I've owned. I've owned all sorts of european pistols, and the combination of feel, technology, and ergonomics definitely have made this one of my favourites. Any last advice...

    Sig P220 Carry SAO

Fremmer - That's a good observation! I have no idea why it has the beavertail, but I sure like it. It is my understanding that Sig occasionally just uses whatever frame they have - can anyone comment on that? The grips are Hogue Extremes, and came with the gun - along with SIX magazines! Also...

    Sig P220 Carry SAO

Hey y'all, So, I recently acquired a Sig P220 Carry SAO, and I was hoping to get some opinions, recommendations, and thoughts on it! I'm hugely thrilled with the feel and the mechanics, so it's definitely looking like it's going to find a lasting home with me. What recommendations do you...

IDPA & Sig P220 Carry SAO

Hey folks, I'm about to come into possession of a practically mint Sig P220 Carry SAO with a whole bunch of magazines, and I've decided it must be shot IDPA. I don't care about eight rounds rather than tens, or power factors, but definitely want to see how I do with this thing on the range...
