    Patriots

As this doesn't fit, please bear with me. Last night I went to hear a band in a little winery near Fredricksburg, Texas. The band was Almost Patsy Cline from Bandera. The band played "I'm Proud to be an American". Of the 25 tables only one remained seated thru the song. It was then...

    Inherited Father's Reloading Stuff

I have loaded with powder 12 years old. The only powder I distrusted was that which had previously been opened. This powder did have a different smell but when I weighed my charges I noticed that the there was some red residue in the weight pan. These cans had been tightly sealed but still...

    220 Swift to 303 Savage

Reporting Today I fired for the first time the 303 Savage brass made from 220 Swift and it worked as well as the 303 Savage Winchester brass that I fired at the same time. This manufacture has been discussed here before and thought that someone may like to know.

    The ubiquitous spring

Hi Normally there are several ways to determine the temperature in a kiln. First there is an istrument called a kiln setter. This is a cylindrical tube through the wall of the kiln with a trigger that is held open by a temperature sensative ceramic bar. When the kiln reaches the trip...

    The ubiquitous spring

If you need a furnace I would suggest to watch the papers for a small kiln. Those used for pottery get sufficiently hot and the ones for porcelain get into the 2000 - 2500 degree range. Some are only like 6x6x6 inside and attain their working temperature quickly. My wife makes porcelain...

    Lyman No 1 sight

I've one of these. Mine has a shorter threaded nut for raising and lowering the apature shaft than is shown in Old Gunsights book. The apature shaft and nut are loose vertically. It appears that it may need a spring under the raising and lowering apparatus. Any knowledge is welcome.

    Neck turning brass

Thank you I will try this. I have spent probably 20 hours trying differfent things with this confusion. Maybe I jumped to a conclusion that wasn't warranted. I don't have any more virgin 220 Swift Winchester but I will compare some sized cases. Ever get something in your head that...

    Neck turning brass

Maybe I will find it necessary to use a neck turner. But not now. The fellow that told me how to make the 303 Savage brass was using Winchester brass. When I made it according to instructions the cartridges would not chamber with a bullet seated due to over sized necks. Rather than buy...

    Neck turning brass

John, I have emailed Mr Kinneman and stated my problem. I am sure he will have an answer to my problem. Looks like maybe the Wilson Trimmer and Inside neck reamer. All of the other sites you recommended were read and will follow this one if nothing comes of it. Thanks guys for...
