Yes, pretty much all of the Montana tags are gone by this point. No, you cannot get a buck/bull over the counter in Colorado, but you can get a bull tag over the counter for 2nd or 3rd season, the earliest of which starts at the end of October.
I don't think so. It's not an area with much, if any CWD, and that just looks like a typical doe that is nursing a fawn. Takes a bit out of them. She doesn't look pregnant to me either, which means she should have a fawn on the ground. And her ears look too alert and perky.
Wow.
How about you ignore this post. Aim on hair, never on air. The guy is obviously concerned with long shots, as in he is inexperienced with them, and you're encouraging some really dumb habits.
If shooting the same bullet weight, the Barnes type bullets should penetrate better, but they do less damage on the way through. So pick your poison. 100% weight retention and complete penetration is not everything.
I've had one pheasant, but mostly I raise chickens. My brooder set up is a bit different than that, but same idea. Don't forget to work on the habitat and any other major issues around your place. There's a reason why the pheasants disappeared in the first place.
