Whew! Okay, it only took three days but I finally got through to them on the phone.
Guy I spoke with said that they lost some staff last week so have been busy trying to catch up.
Yes. None of those methods of contact are working. I've logged a total of over an hour on hold, left several voice messages and sent emails.
I'm looking for alternate suggestions to get some sort of a response...
Have been phoning and emailing Lone Wolf since Monday morning and I can't reach anybody. This is a warranty related inquiry and I'm getting frustrated.
Their phone number has even stopped attempting to connect me to a person and goes straight to the voice mail message they use when they're...
Uh suuuuuuuure. That's why I put Glock in quotes. Of course it's not a true Glock. I doubt anybody who built one of these kits is under any such illusion
I'm willing to admit that I appear to be wrong on the version numbering--my source for the differences regarding the 1 vs 1.5 vs 2 was a Polymer80 customer service guy who told me that what I had was a 1.5. I took him at his word but now that I look at my frame it only says "PF940C" (although...
So you should mention which generation of Polymer 80 you're tlaking about. Your's is their first generation model. They've come a long way since that model...
Uh, well you're technically not building a Glock. I mean sure, you could use all OEM parts but if you're starting from scratch, why would you do that? Why wouldn't you just build your base gun with al the after market add-ons that many Glock guys seem to love to drop coin on?
For me, the math...
Entirely a matter of opinion. IMO the Ploy80 frame is a solid, solid frame. Metal rails front and back and superb ergos. Can't really imagine that the Timberwolf frame is going to be objectively better and it still has #$%!* finger groves. Moreover, the Poly80's beavertail, trigger guard...
With a taper crimp?? Those pics above look more like an attempted roll crimp.
All quality factory brass should be annealed. Some manufacturers do a better job than others (and probalby some fail to do it at all). Wasn't implying that a reloader do it himself...not to pistol ammo.
For...
There's a lot of interesting information in thread. Like:
First off, 9mm has a taper crimp and I can't imagine what you'd have to do to a taper crimp to actually result in a deformed bullet. Proper case mouth annealing and crimp tension should solve most/all bullet retention needs. Second...
Heh :) Yeah, I'm mostly kidding...though I may also be slightly bitter because I've always wanted a 5" M29 and they're nearly impossible to come by
I've heard they handle as beautifully as they look
This poll is BS. The winning lengths are 3" and 4" which are simply the two most commonly offered lengths. The obvious;y best lengths are 3" and 5" and IMHO 4" is simply a terrible comprise between 3" and 5". 4" barreled revolvers should be abolished from the face of the earth!!!
No pics, but the Freedom Arms 97 in 44 special (5.5" bbl) is my favorite handgun to date. It's not cheap but the balance, weight and build quality are unsurpassed. I'd wager you could easily load it to exceed 44mag pressures but why would you?--it's simply perfect with heavy 44 spl loads...
