The book Last Man Standing and the movie are two different stories. The book is waaay better than the movie. How about Wonder Woman knocking the shots away with her magic braclets, speaking of superheros?

Check to make sure that the ring and mount screws are tight and that there is no movement when the scope is mounted. A hard case helps keep things sturdy as well- stuff like dings and drops.

The legality of this issue was settled back in the late 80s or early 90s. Yes it is legal to use the .50 BMG against personnel. I'll have to dig up the reference to it.
