Had the same exact problem. I was using it for 45acp, then I tried it with 9mm and still had the same problem. Then, I warrantied the die, sold it, and bought the hornady cop die instead. Couldn't be any happier.
Is it worth it? To some people, yes. It really depends on the person, if he/she likes it or not. Does it save money? Technically yes. I can load 1k 223 for about $150, sometimes even cheaper.
(Reference from Hornady 7th ed. reloading manual)
Col calls for: max 2.810 min 2.780
Finally got some time to reload some 308's using hornady fmjft w/c bullets(#3037). Cases(once fired rem brass) trimmed to 2.005, but cannelure doesn't line up to min or max col. I seated bullet to 2.733...
You'll be fine at 2.20 or 2.250, make sure the cases are trimmed to correct length.
If oal is set too long cartridge might not fit the magazine. If too short pressure rises in case.
From wiki
The overall length of an ammunition cartridge is a measurement from the base of the brass shell...
Hey guys, awesome forum! I've been a lurker for awhile and I figured might as well join. Anyway I just bought some new Nosler 30cal custom comp 168gr bullets. These are not pulled or blem bullets but they have some marking on them. Anyone else experienced this from nosler or other manufacture?
