    The serial number looks to have been so worn off that the importer placed the new number for the serial number. Enjoy you piece of history. Without the exact serial number dating the rifle is impossible.

    A picture will be needed of the serial number. The 1894 is a 2nd model reciever. Next to the 30 w.c.f is there an oval wp proof mark on the reciever and or the barrel? The picture is a little out of focus to see if there are proof markes.

    Your Winchesters will have records at the Cody Firearms Museum. You can for a price call with the serial number and they will tell you what configuration the rifle was produced in. For additional funds you can have the rifle lettered. These are the dates when the first 30 WCF were produced...

    Look for cowboy action shooters website in your area. Most of them will have adds for a gunsmith. They would have the most knowledge on how to fix your shotgun.

    Upon further investigation the shotgun has a high probability of being a standard 16 gauge shotgun with a matted reciever and barrel. The bolt is not marked trap. The wood is not original to the gun as no idea what type of stocks were on the gun. Winchester had the option on the 16 gauge...

    Solid frame Winchester model 1890 are rare and highly collectible. If it is a factory nickle it and and original gun it will be a high dollar gun. Pictures are needed, serial number and pictures of the markings on the barrel. If the barrel is marked model 90 it is not the original barrel...
