Cool shotgun, I was going to build a muzzleloading shotgun but then I realized they aren't ideal for home defense or anything else and therefore an entirely worthless addition to my collection. :neener:
Find a good local shop instead. Jewelers like that often sell lowish quality stuff but make it sound like it's the best ever and a great deal (I have worked in the jewelry industry). Combine that with a stupid CCW policy and it's a no brainer :cuss:
Some rifles do not shoot CCI CB's well. I suspect something to do with the twist rate or bore diameter does not properly stabilize the bullet. From what I have seen, CZ rimfires do not shoot them well but 10/22s will do just fine.
I had one, they are very well made. Sorry, I don't reload so I don't have any data. Hopefully the barrel is better than mine was, it was sewer pipe condition so I did not try shooting it.
There are a limited amount of people who know quality and will pay for it. As long as Colt doesn't expect to sell allot of them they could put in the work (and price) to make a good revolver.
You can duel wield with two RH pistols. This is actually a better idea because once you do it and realize how lame it is for actually hitting anything you can sell on of the pistols.
Makes great noise though!
If they never sold any m40s then there may be a problem with the US marked ones. A really good sniper type rifle gets expensive fast... figure $2500 for a scope and $1500-5000 for the rifle.
A new PTR is $989 at CDNN and mags are $1 at cheaper than dirt so a used one may be a little overpriced at $1000. On the other hand, I would probably go for the PTR myself!
I would go with a cz scout. Very accurate and a repeater. The scaled down stock would work alright for a survival situation.
