I own a Bersa .380 and a KT P32. No personal experience with the KT 3AT. I have been disappointed with the Kel-Tec due to light strikes and an overall plastic / cheap type feel. The Bersa has never had a misfire and feels good in the hand. I would recommend the Bersa.
Was recently shooting clay pigeons. One was loaded wrong, did a 180, shattered against my right hand and shotgun stock. Still got a bit of dust in my eyes, but the glasses kept out the larger pieces. A bloody finger and scratched stock was the worst of the damage.

I used to carry a Ruger P95 in an Uncle Mikes fanny pack. Found it to be not very comfortable. Usually carry a Bersa .380 IWB now, but if I want the P95 still carry that way. I still think it is a good way to carry given other less viable options.
Sounds like the school district does not have any practical ideas to stem the problem, so they implemented some superficial rules to make it look like they are doing something.

You state that the media has "completely avoided" any mention of judaism, and that you read about it in the newspaper. The media is obviously not avoiding the issue if you read about it in the paper.
