Thanks for the clarification gentlemen. I guess the question still stands of what would be a good "caplock pistol kit?" That should be right, right? lol Your help is always appreciated.
Looking at a single shot pistol. Funny how there isn't a really concrete name for them. I spose the bet thing to call it would be a "frontier" pistol. t/c patriot or a traditions single shot was what I was looking at. Something to eat up some of my time.
Looking to get a summer gun project going and thought a kit gun would be fun. Any suggestions on which? Looking to spend around $250, quite a few in that range. Is the "trapper" model with the double set trigger worth the money, or just stick with a single set and get a little better quality gun...
The barrel is marked .44. I realize this is probably slightly larger due to it being a cheap european copy and having shallow rifling.
The balls are .44 as said multiple times before.
The patches are, as corrected, .01.
Is that clear enough for you or am I not understanding your communication?
The balls I have are .44. Tried to use larger balls but you run into the problem of not being able to push the danged things down the whole barrel unless you weigh 500 pounds. Not a fun time. Thicker patches are the best way to go?
I've had this rifle for a while and haven't shot it much, once or twice. She's a .44 with shallow rifling. Wondering proper load size and what is the best way to load it. Used a .44 ball with a .1 patch and the ball will roll out the end. Using 60 grains of powder. Last time I took it out, I...
A while back I was trying to "fix" my buddies front sight on his 802. Well, I fixed it so well that it broke clean off. I felt bad and decided to try and find a new front sight. Looked a couple times but can't find one. It's not an expensive gun and he refuses a scope so I don't want to spend...
Does anybody have ANY info on the EAA? Not really a comparison going on, just a bunch of people not really reading the post and then saying get a Ruger. So far, I've gathered do what I don't want and if I am cheap or don't want to invest then get a heritage.

EAA= $275
Heritage= $150
Ruger= $480 (cheap)
I've heard that the EAA's are closest to the Colt model which is a draw for me. But you can also get 2 Heritages for a little over the price. I'm not buying a Ruger. Wonder if there is anybody who has handled both?
Looking at picking up a .22 single action. Had my eye on the EAA bounty hunter. But then I got to thinking that I could get 2 Heritage Rough Riders for about the same price. That is a little appealing to me as well. I could have A LOT of fun with 2 peashooters in my hands. Any input on this...
