    I've managed to sock away about 8K rounds of 22, I feel pretty fortunate about it. Still pretty hard to find around here.

    If you are up to no good, scratching out serial numbers can be done quickly on any gun, polymer, aluminum or steel.

    How to improve bluing?

    The one time I re blued a rifle, it was an old Remington Targetmaster, the bluing looked a little dull to me also. Well for what ever reason I decided to polish it with WD40, and after that it looked great, darn near factory but not quite as dark, but very shiny and looked great. Don't ask me...

    Safe Queens

    Have a Remington 1100 that was the National Turkey Federation gun of the year, that I won a few years back, that I have not shot, and don't really intend to shoot. Guess that is my safe queen.

    Sadly I do not. Mine was a single shot 20 gauge, not even sure what make, but Sears or Montgomery Wards comes to mind. Got it when I was 12. So a few years down the road I sell it at a pawn shop for beer or gas money, something stupid no doubt. This gun was no real prize to anybody but me. Man...
