    Murcury Loaded JHP's...

If you want to make a truly deadly bullet, try sealing some au jus from Arby's into the tip of your hollow point. :uhoh:

The gun you own which are proudest of..

Fitch, Nice looking pistol. How about adding one of Les Baer's fancy ARs? Another thought would be one of his Commander sized pistols for carry use. I own a couple of Baer 1911s and really love them. Here's one of them, with some fancy cocobolo grips by Esmeralda. I call it my "pimp...

Tell me about IOR 4x24 scopes or other suitable CQB scopes

A close-quarters optic for under $400? Only thing decent that fills this bill is an Aimpoint.

    what's it like getting shot?

My local dealer/gunsmith had a not-so-interesting experience about 2 years ago. A friend dropped off his .25-06 rifle to have some work done on it, and my d/g put it in one of his bins. Sometime later the owner came back to test the OAL of some of his reloads by chambering them in the rifle...

    The end of 1911forum.com

I saw this on more than one occasion over there. And I've seen it occur on other sites as well. Brings to mind the old Roman maxim, "who will moderate the moderators?" :scrutiny:

    The end of 1911forum.com

It should close. Incompetent owner, arrogant mods, and they let people who own Kimbers post there. :neener: Seriously, I think m1911.org is a better site. I won't miss it.

Do you carry into places where they post signs telling you not to?

Okay, but how about Federal facilities, such as the Post Office? Although the actual language of the law is a little vague, it would appear that it's a no-no to carry in the P.O., and I just as soon not anger the Washington-headed monster. Of course, I live out in the boonies in ranching...

    The 4 Safety Rules

Not to beat a dead horse, but I prefer the rules as they are stated by the GunSite folks. I think the NRA version does not adequately cover CCW and other situations, such as a loaded nightstand gun.

    Battleships

Interesting thread, but how come it wasn't locked for not being firearms related? :p

    kerry's medals

True indeed. The man suffers terrible foot fungus from constantly putting both feet into his mouth. :p

Firearms related deaths, some facts from the CDC (a little long...)

Given that obesity has become the most prevalent health problem in this country, I'd be curious to see a study of mortality rates from guns versus McDonald's french fries. Or, how many people have died from being beaten with bags of Cheetos? These are the real questions that the anti-gunners...

Kerry: I was abducted by aliens, they support my presidential bid

Kerry: I was abducted by aliens, despite anal probe they support my presidential bid Mongo (REUTERS) - John Kerry announced today that he has been abducted by aliens three times since announcing his bid for the presidency. He said in each of the three encounters he was "probed," but that the...

14000 Indiana CCW'ers may be "outed"; please help

I suggested that their time would be better spent publishing the names of people who have sex with the lights on. These idiots probably think THAT'S a good idea too.

What is the Best State to Live In?

Wyoming is great. Some of the best scenery in the USA. No state income tax. Conservative politically. It can get windy up there, though. If I didn't already live in a great state (Colorado), Wyoming would be my choice. Here's a pic of the Snake River with the Tetons in the background from...

Kerry fails to back up foreign 'endorsements'

Jay Leno cleared up this controversy. He said that what actually happened was Kerry overheard a couple of supporters talking about him in an International House of Pancakes.
