Freedom Munitions: Is this too good to be true?

?? Their website shows NEW ammo with FM (FreedomMunition) headstamps. So, do they sell NEW ammo made by them, or not? . I realize this is an older thread, but today brass cost more than the price they have on NEW 9mm ammo loaded with XTP bullets. I know they have been going through financial...

Contemplating a rifle comparison.... Input desired!

I recently bought a 783, and an American. Both 30-06. Both shoot under an inch(.62), and probably would do better in the hands of marksman. They both shot sub 1" right out of the box(after cleaning), and using "store bought" ammo. My reloads do a little better. There are things that I like about...

Question on 7.62 NATO, sold by Winchester

Thanks for the input guys. I'm learning, but it seems to take longer than it used to. I've loaded up some "starting" loads for my .243, .308, and 25-06, but haven't had a chance to shoot'em yet. I tried only neck sizing my .308 brass(fired one time in my rifle) , but it chambered too...

    WCC 7.62 with no crimp

Pardon my confusion,, The box is marked 7.62mm, the headstamp is wcc09 with the NATO circled cross, the case is noticeably heavier than commercial, the case neck is annealed, the primer is sealed and even has a tiny ring around it that looks almost like a crimp(fooled me). I'm sure the military...

    WCC 7.62 with no crimp

Yes "Fleet" , but this is not ".308".(it is .308 diameter, which is really 7.82mm) It's marked as 7.62mm. It's the same as the M80 load which they have been making for the military for some time. I don't understand this, and a whole lot of other things about this reloading business, but I'm...

    WCC 7.62 with no crimp

Maybe I'm behind (as usual),but I got some Winchester white box "7.62" (Q3130) marked wcc 09. It does not have crimped in primers, at leasts not the ones I have primed so far. I was contemplating which tool to buy in order to remove the crimp, since everything I read says that all military ammo...

Question on 7.62 NATO, sold by Winchester

Hi folks, wow! I am new to reloading and have questions about this topic, but I see that there is apparnently many others who are almost as confused as I am.(almost) I have read many, many posts and articles, and the confusion goes on and on. And no wonder, I have commercial .308 cartridges...
