The Colt lightning should have some collector interest, if in functioning condition, it should bring somewhere around $400.00 + however they are fairly fragile, if it functions i wouldnt risk shooting it.

There may be more to this story than we know, maybe the guy has been diagnosed with a disease, such as cancer,and has no health insurance or money for treatment, and is planning on letting the state pay for his treatment during his incarceration? this actualy happens occasionaly.

Revolutionary? hardly , all it is is a big muzzleloader, loaded like a Roman candle with bullets stacked one in front of the other.fun to watch but i dont see how it can be practicaly fielded, in a real world environment.

Personaly i would not be offended if someone corrected me for improperly using firearm terminology, dont look at it as sniping, but a chance to enlighten someone, i know my m1 Garand uses clips, and my colt 1911 45 uses magazines, two totaly different things that do the same job.

well, unlike snow, im right handed, and purchased a c9 for a truck gun, its perfect for the job intended, reliable and cheap to replace if lost, go get one and dont let the negativity some have toward low priced guns bother you.

i dont think so, i purchased a Kimber stainless target II in 9mm last fall, and it,s been perfection so far, sure you see plenty kimber bashers around, but kimber seems to have worked the bugs out.

i think Hollywood has a lot to do with unsafe gun handling, unfortunately many people get their gun training from watching movies, and see all kinds of stupid things done with guns, combine stupid people with movie gun training and you have so called accidents ,that are all to easey to avoid,

out of the three calibers you have narrowed it down to, i prefer the 270 , less drop downrange and less felt recoil, and plenty enough bullet weight for what you have in mind.
