SIG P220 Misc Questions - Need Help

Sorry for any confusion. The pistol shown in LaBulldog's pic above is the 220BR3-45-BSS-SAO - the one you are asking about. The first "B" means beavertail frame. The "R" means rail. The 2nd "B" is the black nitron finish. The "SS" is the Sig Nite Sites. The "SAO" is single action only. If you...

SIG P220 Misc Questions - Need Help

Chiselchst, This Sig P220 Carry is a single action only [SAO] factory overrun. It is not listed in any Sig catalog or on their web site. It has a Nitron finish slide, manual safety with factory nite sites. They come standard with three 8 round factory mags. There are two variations - ones...

No love for CZ 100 9mm?

As rough as the trigger is out of the box, I'd buy a new one in heartbeat if less that 350 and would make it my #1 summer carry gun. This is one of the most ergonomically correct pistols I've ever handled and with a very low bore axis. I think they are fine as a defensive pistol and am sorry I...

    Any SIG P220 owners here?

I am a soon to be Sig P220 Carry owner; having just bought one of the SAO contract over-runs with three mags and nite sights. :)

What is the BEST polymer-framed handgun line (in your opinion)?

Best overall line is HK. The best .40 is the USPc and the best 9mm is the P30.

Your pick for a single stack 9mm that is NOT a 1911 design

My pick is the RAP-401 [and my fav auto] - a close cousin of the Astra A-75

    I want a new gun!

You can't get truly thin [single stack], compact and high mag capacity in the same package. You will have to make a compromise in one of these areas. Thin is of most concern for concealment, but you if just want a good reliable shooter for around 500, I'd say get a Glock.

    Is there anyone who doesn't own a S&W 442/642?

Don't have one. Don't want one. Too light and IMO, only good for pocket or ankle carry. I prefer a larger steel revolver with more capacity...such as the Taurus 617. If they came out with a six or seven shot .327 mag and > 16oz, I might take a second look.

    Looking for a .357 snubby

I bought my 617 a little more than a week ago and been wanting one for a year or more. It's got good balance, weight and the bluing is great. I wanted to get it in stainless, but Bud's had them [617b2] for 319 delivered two weeks ago, so yeah, it was high time to finally get one. The DA trigger...

    Are CZ's really that amazing

GZOh wrote: I have one too - FTF's. FTE's. jams, etc...40P's are notorious for this. Your 2nd range trip won't be a whole lot better than the first. You are going to have to put about 65 bucks in upgrades to get it to run reliably. The most important is getting a SS guide rod, and a 18#...

How do you unscrew a stuck (loctited?)ejector rod?

Try PB Blaster and let it soak overnight.

    2.75" Service Six 357

If I'm not mistaken, yours would be the SS Police Service Six with fixed sights. I have the SS Speed Six in same 2.75" barrel length. It too has fixed sights. I agree with those who have said this is one the best revolvers ever made. Extremely durable - an heirloom piece for sure. I have had...

    taurus revolvers?

Up until about a month ago, I had a M44 4" in blue and it was good quality with a nice trigger. Finish was very good. Construction and internals are very much like a S&W. I have also handled a few M85's and 24/7's. The only reason I don't own a 24/7 is because they don't fit my hand right...
