I reamed out my powder funnel and polished everything in my Dillon powder thrower. It meters Varget just fine. I have put 25 into the 10 ring at 600 yards on a windless day with my .223. All of these reloads were done using varget and my Dillon.
WE shoot pins with .22. The pistol shoots are at 25' and the pins are set on the back edge of the table and a shotgun hull is set on the shelf about as the "tie' breaker. :) We also do a rim fire and center fire rifle shoots. The targets are at 50, 100 and 150 yards. It is good competition...
I have a S&W 1911 and started to use McCormick extended mags. After a few hundred round through the mags the last empty get caught up in the slide. My stock mags don't do this. Is this due to mag spring fatigue?
Thanks Bill
Wow, you must not get out much. I see lots of browning gold at all types of sporting clay events and some do make it to the winners circle. It is a good shooting gun that has reduced recoil due to its gas system and a variety of barrel lengths and chamber sizes. They do need to be run "wet" and...
One day I was out for a walk and got startled by a dog. I sort of made friends with him, but his owner came running out of his house with a gun strapped to his side. He got within 15 yards and put his hand on his weapon and for no apparent reason except for the fact to shoot or scare me. I...
My 600 yard .223 load is a smk 77 or a 80 (out of the mag oal) is 24-24.2 reloader 15.
Now for real accurate 69 gr smk's I use 24 gr of 2520....With a 1x8 twist and a 18" barrel I can shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards on the bench. When I go a bit hotter the groups open up.
I shoot pin shoots, my 1" group loads and my tear the pin 10' off the table, is a 255 lswc on top of 5.3 unique. Most accurate "heavy" load I have shot to date.
Now I am trying to get good accuracy with my cz 75b with 124 jrn. I just might try some unique, I have been using 231.
I bought a 870 wing-master in 1966 and it is in excellent condition. I don't think I put more than a few hundred rounds through it. Cycles real smooth and the finish on both the wood and metal is super. I am glad I hung on to it.
I need some ideas of the best way to drop or measure extruded powders. I have a dillon 550 but do these type powders by hand. Pain in the a** but I need to do this for my 600 yard loads.
I have been using 2520 for 69 smk and 77smk and it is very accurate. It is clean, meters great and at 600 yard does the trick for me...I tried reloader 15 and it is hard to meter and dirty, but is accurate. Both group the same.
I just did a trigger job on my 75b ss 9mm. Smooth as silk and I also took out most of the camming...The trigger in sa is great, breaks with a crispness that makes my groups much better. It is easy to do and there are instructions with pictures on the CZ forums. You will have to do the hammer...
