    Cold-Weather Problems with American Gunner?

This may not be so much of an ammo problem, as a lubrication issue. Try a good quality synthetic oil, and “slide glide”, and it should help a lot. Note: this works well in my cz75, and some other guns. I shoot in Idaho.

    Colt huntsman circa 1958

I have had a Colt Targetsman since the early60’s. Great gun. Don’t think you will have any trouble finding ammo that performs well. Try Remington, copper plated, round nose, or hollow point. Don’ understand why someone hasn’ picked up the patent on this and put it back into production as it is a...

    Crack in stock

Ok, repaired the crack using Accraglass, small brass screw, and clamp. Still don’t have a clue as to what caused it. My understanding is that the butt plate is supposed to prevent this. Any ideas?

    Crack in stock

My Pedersoli Hawken has developed a crack in the toe of the stock. I would like to fix it myself, but am unsure as to what would be the best method: glue and clamp, glue with wood peg for strength, or perhaps glue with brass screw for strength. Any of you guys repaired something like this? How...

    Hunting time draws near

drew a cow elk tag this year in Idaho and am wondering about using my .54 Hawken. It has a slow twist, like one turn in 66inches, and is designed to shoot patched round balls, which I do. My question is this : should I work up a good hunting load for patched balls, or perhaps try shooting some...

    Thanks for the advice

A while back I asked for some help select th ing a new sidearm, and l I listened care fully. After looking at a lot, shooting some, I bought a CZ 75 B. The plastic framed striker fired guns just did not feel or shoot up to my expectations. One m o re question though: some thoughts on aftermarket...

    Striker fired, or traditional?

Hey guys, need a little input here. I am going to buy a 9mm pistol for home protection, and recreational shooting, not going to conceal carry. I like the Sw mp2, but also like the browning high power, :and sig Sauer 226. I am not a high volume shooter, but can see burning through 500 rounds a...
