i would put the barrel in a bench vise, and put something on the other end just incase the round fired. But am I wrong, or couldn't you just use vise grips and pull the round out, or even the bullet out of the case? Of course not pointing it at anything.

Each dept does ballistics tests, and chooses a caliber. It was probably a mix of reasons. But they could switch to the 357-sig or 40 s&w next year. Most depts change as they continue to review their choice.

I personally think the 40 is the perfect round you can go heavy or light, and it is cheap to practice with. The recoil is not that bad, and you can buy pretty light loads. With double tap ammo a 40 will do just about everything in one gun. I have a mag full of each. for home protection and...
