There is no bad choice between the two and your looking at it correctly. POI shift depends on many factors like host barrel, taper, length, mount used, weight and length of can, etc. The M4-2000 will serve you well and is a very good unit.
Stemple 9MM conversion mag dumps.....

Title says it all. I can wrap up my 9MM conversion started in this thread:

I now have to re-finish the gun and mags. I also made 3 new barrels (one .45 regular length and two shorter...
I would get the the AAC M4/2000 (Biased opinion becasue I did). AAC makes nice stuff but delivery time can be spotty. Just an FYI the AAC requires you to use their mount (not included). I think either can will serve you well and either pick you getting a very good product. I do have a Surefire...
I have been running an AAC M4-2000 on a SIG 556. The can itself is excellent. I am using the required AAC and you have a choice of the Blackout (3 prong flash hider) or the muzzle brake mount. The Blackout does and excellent job of reducing muzzle flash without the can attached. It does make the...
231 ball powder.
It meters much better than a flake powder and it very clean burning. Unique is a good propellant but you will have more unburned powder Vs. 231.
Have not made it to the range yet but hopefully it shoots like a typical mini-14. Usually they range accuracy wise like an AK or better. I REALLY like the Ruger folding stock design. I liked it so much I found a new one for $325. Pricey but they are not making them anymore. It's a shame because...
I decided on getting another Ruger mini as a blaster / reliable .223 rifle. It's not in the same class accuracy wise of the AR series but it's a damn reliable rifle that needs few spare parts and mild cleaning to keep it running. That being said I wanted to find a GB model. I really liked the...
Glock.
I owned a Sig 226 and a 220 (9mm & 45). Both are very well built and accurate guns. The 226 was very accurate with the 220 slightly less. The one thing I did not like is the frame rail is very thin where the grip screw attaches. Also the 220 (45) would hang up if a firm grip or weak...
I have a stainless puma in .357 and it's been a great rifle. I did completely take it apart and debur everything. After that it's very smooth. Accuracy wise I replaced the front sight with a fiber optic one from marbles and I am still using the factory rear sight. 100 yard groups run from a...
I have one in stainless steel. After about and hour and 3 cups of coffee at the kitchen table de-burring the internals it's one slick rifle. It's really fun to shoot and quite accurate. I believe it's based on the 92 winchester action so it strong. I have no problems hitting clay pigeons at 100...
