I have been debating on a scope for my new 700 Tactical 223. I have been looking at the Millett 6-25x 56mm LRS-1. I am unfamiliar with Millett scopes. Does anyone have experience with these scopes? I like the features of this scope but I would like to find out if anyone has used Millett scopes...
I like the idea of the rubberized surface on the stock. I however do not like it flexing and touching the barrel while it sits on bipod. I am thinking about pouring resin into the stock. I hope to find out if this is possible or if its a no-no.
I have just ordered a Remington 700 sps tactical. I have read posting on other sites regarding the stock fore end flexing. Would it be possible to fix this with a bedding compound? Can the bedding be improved? What can be done to improve bedding in the Hogue stock? The imformation I read stated...
I just purchased a Remington 700 tactical chambered in 223 rem. I have not gotten chance a chance to get it scoped and shoot it. I have read some feed back regarding it and now I am wondering how to fix the issues with stock flex in the fore end. Does anyone have one of these rifle? Have you...

I am glad that a lot of people have had good luck with Winchester products. I however have even another mark for the negative list. I have been trying to get them to deal with the replacement of the 223 brass. I have now been told that this process will take at...
I recieved a reply on one of my other threads from a fellow stating that you could not use brakes in rifle competitions. Does that apply to the 50 cal that I am having built. Can anyone tell me if that is true? If so how can you shoot a 50 without a brake? I am a big boy and shoot numerous other...
I used several bags of Winchester in 30-06 and 25-06 and had no issues they were all uniform in size and length. I have tried Remington brass in 30-06 and 308 and had to trim almost every case. The lengths of their cases were far from uniform but they were correct caliber. I may be wrong but the...
I recieved a reply to my thread from a guy stating that you could not use brakes in competitons. Is that true? How can that be true in regards to 50 cal? How can you shoot one without a brake?
I have used Winchester brass several times in the past and had no problems. I will have to reconsider their products after dealing them and reading feedback on numerous sites of people having problems with their brass and customer service. I will not buy anything else from them.
I bet that was a scary experience when it did that. I would have been majorly pissed. It seems like they did not do much to make it right for you either. Im sure they used some sort of loop hole or excuse because it was a handload that did that.
I definately didnt have nearlyas bad of a experiance as that. I was loadin up a few boxes of rounds for my grandad as a birthday present. He was a few short but didnt complain. I know crap happens but they should be a little more proper on cleaning it up. I explained to the lady at Winchester...

All 6 of these are extremely effective calibers. In most cases they are superior to a lot of the calibers that did remain in production. It is a shame that a lot of great ones have been let go by the manufactures. :cuss:
I guess the part that has really ticked me off is how Winchester has dealt with it. The first person I talked to there stated that they would send me a shipping label from UPS to return the improper cases. He told me that they would only replace the 19 that were wrong pending inspection of cases...
