I have just ordered a Remington 700 sps tactical. I have read posting on other sites regarding the stock fore end flexing. Would it be possible to fix this with a bedding compound? Can the bedding be improved? What can be done to improve bedding in the Hogue stock? The imformation I read stated the stock flexes to touch the barrel when placed on bipod or sand bags. I intend to use this gun on bipods so this is a concern to me. If anyone has incite on how to fix this problem if it arises I would appreciate hearing any ideas.

Your above statement about the flexing fore end is correct. you can improve the stock by bedding, but I think just bedding compound wouldn't be enough. You would need something to make the stock more rigid, like a metal rod imbedded in the fore end.
The are two good posts about it here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=5&t=230395&page=2 (scroll halfway down the page to a post titled "Fore End stiffening" and "Stiffening a remmington 700 SPS V stock")

However I would buy a better stock to begin with. A take-off HS Precision from a 700 Police wouldn't be expensive and would serve you better.

Kind regards, Louis
