I use a binder with info similar to many others. Every batch I load gets a sequential "Lot #" which I use to reference in a shooting results log, write on paper targets, label ammo storage, etc. Comes in handy.
I stand them up and look at the height. In my early days of reloading I trimmed 9x19 into 9x18 by the hundreds (maybe thousands), so don't rely solely on the headstamp. Sort by height FIRST. You will be able to see the difference in 9x19, 9x18, and 9x17.
Love the media separator. I made one very similar to that, only half that size and not as sturdy as yours. Nice display of craftsmanship. Enjoy your new setup.
I've loaded a lot of 3.6-3.8 gr (mostly 3.8) Universal and a Berrys plated 95 gr round nose.970 OAL. This works well in my CZ-82, which, as others have experienced, throws brass about 10-15 yds in the 4 o'clock direction.
Lee TL 358-158-2R tumble lube round nose with 4.0 W231. COL is 1.500". Light roll crimp same as Hooda and jwbfx4. Crimp where your bullet dictates and tune the powder +/- .1 or .2 gr and see what your gun prefers.
We give each other a small amount of discretionary money each month out of the family budget. I referee some sports which pays a little bit. That goes in my hobby fund also. She knows when I go to a gun show or if I pass through a certain town I'll stop at a little gun shop. Here's how it...
I've done many hundreds of these with a Lee 3-jaw chuck in a cordless drill and the Lee cutter with ball grip and the 9x18 case length gauge. Since the diameter of the 9x19 is smaller than the 9x18, you either have to expand the case mouth first or trim down the width of the cutter a little so...
Another fan of the solid core door. My bench is the bottom 24" of a 36" wide solid core door. My reloading room is the 3' wide spot under the basement stairs. 2x4 legs and attached to the wall for extra support. It is very sturdy and does not flex.
I've had good luck with TL356-126TC and 356-125-2R for 9mm. The first one is a tumble lube design and the second is a pan lube design. I tumble lube both types with 45/45/10. Both of these cast right at .358 or sometimes a touch larger. I size them .358.
I use TL358-158-2R for .38...
