Handgun training in Louisiana or East Texas?

You may try these guys: http://www.tacticaldefensearms.com/Home_Page.html I assume you're close to Lafayette, as you said the Acadiana area. Their shop is south of Lafayette in Maurice. I haven't dealt with them other than stopping by their shop.

    G19 vs SR9 vs FNX9

I look forward to a review as I am also considering the FNX-9. I have the FNP-45 and the only problem I have is finding magazines. I will make sure magazines are available before I buy another FN.

    Du-ha underseat rifle storage.

This is a link to a Ford Truck forum: http://www.f150forum.com/f38/underseat-storage-66624/. It is a write up on building underseat storage. Works great for me. About an hour to put together and $20.

    Buying Flashlights At the Airports

Thailand has great deals on bootleg dvds and golf clubs. Duty free shops may save a few dollars on imported liquor and Cuban cigars, if you like. Electronics and the such, no. Enjoy Thailand...

    Campaign against CTD.

Many of these threads will have several entries stating this is not gouging, it's capitalism at it's finest. Charge what the market will bear until supply equals demand. I agree, if you don't plan on being in business next year. I believe Graf and Sons, Midsouth and Midway have behaved...

Why aren't FN pistols more popular?

I like my FNP. The ambi controls make it great for lefties. Definitely not DAO.

Flight attendant brings ccw to airport

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/09/flight-attendant-tries-to-bring-loaded-gun-through-airport-security/ It sounds as if a flight attendant with a concealed carry permit forgets, I assume, and brings her weapon to the airport. TSA finds it and call the local police. The local pd has...

    Excess Hoppe's #9 a problem on MkII?

I suggest taking it apart and cleaning properly. There are step by step youtube videos as well as a site with great step by step photos. Take down and assembly can be difficult at first but after a few times it's an easy 5 minute chore.

    Online shooting supplies retailer

+1 for Midsouth shooters supply. The last order was at 7 am, tracking # in the afternoon and confirmation from ups the order was in route at 6 pm. Shipping prices are ok, but the sales they have can be excellent. Unfortunately for other online retailers, such as palmetto state armory...

Home Range Respectful Distance from Neighbors?

What you're shooting plays a part. I shoot a 45 and 22 about 100 yards from my parents house. If their windows are closed they won't hear me shooting. A high powered rifle would be a different story.

    CCI Velocitor breaks Ruger MkII??

For what it's worth, from the owners manual, page 12: "The RUGER® MARK II pistol is chambered only for the .22 caliber Long Rifle cartridge, standard velocity or high velocity, manufactured to U.S. Industry Standards." Why would you?
