    Military service

Well..... I second the 'Finish College, Be an Officer' concept.......more money, more responsibilities, better opportunities and living conditions...and they pay for the college(which ain't cheap)! I'd go Marine(again)....but have no problem with any other service. The Army probably has more...

What Gun Company have you given the most money to?

    Ahhhh, the money spent, the fun had! Colt has the lead...8 1911's, a pair of AR's and a couple of wheel guns. H&K has the second place(HK91, HK94, P-7, USP) Ruger 3rd(2 Security Six's, 3 10/22's, 3 .22 pistols, 1 mini-14, P90, P97) Glock- fourth(2 G30's, 1 G21, G19, G17, G23)...

opinions on a pocket carry gun

Pocket rockets! For a couple of decades, I tried to find the perfect pocket piece/back up.... the closest I have found to give the power and reliability I wanted was the Jay frame revolvers...the 642 is a great CCW gun, but not the easiest to shoot well, or reload fast. An ex-girlfriend...

    XD Thoughts

3" .40..... I just bought one for work and CCW....this is my first 21 foot group. Not bad for a 'snubby'. I have shot the 4 inch 9 and 40 and the tactical .40. This one did about the same groups at realistic gunfight range, shot to shot recovery was a little slower than the tactical, of course...

Post pictures of your gun collection

New Springfield XD .40! Needed an 'approved' caliber for work(.45's are not approved) and a CCW tool........ Nice pistol!!

    Your ONE favorite war movie.

Only One?????? There are some great ones listed here.....Saving Private Ryan, Cross of Iron, Kelly's Hero's are definately favorites..... My current fave is a toss up between Windtalkers and Tears of the Sun....Marines kickin' but in WWII or seals sneaking around afrika doin' unto other's...

    Your Actual Cartridge Preference

ACP!! Not GAP! Only pistols I have now are 1911 varients in ACP, so that is what I carry. I certainly have experimented abit over the years. But I kept coming back to my first love and that is where I will stay. Jercamp45

    I am on a 1911 kick.

The Sig is a fine pistol.... but with a 1911 you can customize it to your personal preferences(simple is better), get a .22 conversion unit(Marvel) and if you ever get a powerhouse bug, a Clark conversion barrel in .460 Rowland that throws the .45 ACP bullets at .44 magnum velocities. It is...

    Favorite pizza-delivery carry piece?

Well, I do not deliver Pizza.... But I prowl the night alone at a weekly hotel in Vegas running off the 'suspicious' traffic(drug dealer's, thieves and ho's). Babysitting grown adults that should know better. And then there are the drunks, the stoned, the homeless, the hopeless and those with...

    Bedside gun

I am not that keen on the mid bore handguns... but, a gun in the hand beats one ten feet away when it is needed. And the 9m/m with +P JHP is nothing to sneeze about and ball ammo makes for cheap practise. If you chose a mide size compact, it can double as a CCW piece somewhere down the road...

    California .223 carbine rifles

I have looked into it as well.... Because I may one day be moving behind the Calicommie curtain. I have fired the Ruger Mini-14 and it is OK, as long as you have reliable magazines and are not expecting precision accuracy. Frankly, the Ruger worked nice, is reported to be very rugged and has...

Your opinion: Best for CCW and best overall package?

Good one guys! My favorite is the Colt CCO...... Another fave is the Sig 245.... I really like my girlfriends Kahr PM9. If the Glocks fit your hand(they don't mine), all the ones I have tried work pretty good! They just be chunky. Jercamp45

    SLR-95 pics

Ahhh, very sweet rifle! I have an SLR-95 project in the works too! Ordered the RedStar Arms cnc trigger group, a Mojo sight, extended mag release, and a few more mags. Later I'll change out the silly thumbhole stock, maybe for a quality folder. Want to add the fore arm with the rail to mount a...

Charge a rifle if kerry wins, just to be safe?

Get it while you can, when you can.... I personally do not trust anyone in the political field, nor the herb mentality of sheeple. I started a nice AK project...and I may get a M4gery after, when I get my refund. If not it is not a big loss to me. If you have not got one, save up...if...
