Looking to store some buck long term.

Unless you live in the tropics or seal the can when the humidity is really high, I suspect temperature matters more than humidity. I suppose if you really wanted to go to town, you could add oxygen absorbers? I think these are...overkill? ;)

Why no short (18-20"), choked barrels?

Just checked the Remington website - there is an Express Jr that has an 18.5" VR RemChoke tube (it's also a 20 ga).

Why no short (18-20"), choked barrels?

Recently saw a Remington Express 870 Youth in 20ga that had a factory 21" vent rib barrel with chokes (gun was cheap, too, in near new condition). The short stock makes the thing pretty compact (40" LOA). A potentially Very Useful Shotgun.

Install Benelli M1 Trigger Group in Beretta 1201?

Reason: worn trigger plate in the Beretta; replacement Benelli trigger group parts more available/less expensive (!) than Beretta. Background: many/most of the parts of the M1 interchange with the 1201. The bolts and nearly all of the trigger group parts are identical. Question: has...

where can I get Rockchucker replacement parts?

Out-of-this-world-standing customer service from these guys - as others say, even if you buy the tools used.

    Adding Chokes to Fixed Cylinder

For the OP, this is not off the wall at all. Several defensive shotguns come with tubes from the factory. The Benelli M2 and FN SLP come to mind, but there are probably others.

    All-steel snub for pocket carry?

A few of the posts above seem to assume that there will be no holster used...pocket carry doesn't mean not using a pocket holster...there are safety, reliability and concealment reasons to do so...

    Beretta 1200 Barrel on 1201FP?

Will a barrel for a Beretta 1200 fit a 1201FP when the spacers, etc. are taken off the magazine tube?

22 Jet...how hard to form cases?

In real life, I mean. How easy or hard is it to neck .357 Mag cases down to .22 to make .22 Jet cases? I assume you have to ream the neck to get the brass down to normal thickness after forming? I've read about doing this but never done it myself and I'm guessing there's things you only learn...

    342 v. 342 PD

The 1.2 oz is partly due to the denser hard rubber of the UM's grips compared to the lighter rubber of the Bantam grips (more air in them, I guess). There is another difference, at least between the early 342s and the 342PD. The fluting on the cylinder on my copies is larger on the PD than...

    Slide refinishing - SIG

The slide is stainless steel. The factory process is not the most durable but I believe they'll refinish the whole pistol for $75. You can get more details from the SIG website under the "Custom Shop." You can also get other companies to refinish it with finishes that may be more durable...

Lawyer locks -- which pistols don't have them?

Pretty sure that Glock is about to roll them out, though... :uhoh:

    What makes this Beretta "Super"?

Beretta AL390 Super Sporting...alloy receiver, rounded aft, all the usual AL390 traits plus the wide "sporting" (which, slightly confusingly to me at least, for Berettas seems to mean "competition" rather than "field") rib on the 28" barrel. Is it the porting on the barrel? Was porting...
