Got both, a G17 and a CZ75 in 9mm. Both run all day long. Personally I find the CZ to be more accurate. It is easier to get accessories for the Glock, so if I could only have one, it would probably the Glock. You can not go wrong with either.

I would get a new spring. They do not last forever.

The 1006 uses the same recoil spring as the Colt Government model. Try a 20#. FYI, if you have a 1066 or any of the other shorter barreled 10XX series, they use a standard Commander recoil spring.

Has this been brought up a time or two? Just a few. With a 1911 pattern pistol, cocked & locked is the way to go. Been carrying that way for years and no problems yet.
