what is the cheapest 9mm or .45 acp thats actually decent (just reliable)

Stay away from Hi-Point. Spend the little extra and go with a Glock. They are ALOT better quality. I would also reccomend going with a 45. Here are some model numbers you may want to look at. Glock 17 - Full Size 9mm Glock 19 - Medium Size 9mm Glock 26 - Compact 9mm Glock 34 - Tactical...

Looking to buy a 45 ACP and

Glock 21 - Full Size Glock 21SF - Slim Frame Glock 30 - Medium Sized Glock 36 - Compact Single Stack All 4 of those are great guns that wont cost you an arm and a leg.

    Hi-point 9mm

I would not rely on that gun for ANYTHING. It is a low cost lower quality gun. Trade it in on a Glock. While ur at it, you may want to upgrade to a .40 or a .45. I am not too big of a 9mm fan either. I have taken more highpoints off the street from gangbangers than any other gun.

    new hand gun

Go with Springfield. They are fine. Kimber tends to be overpriced and overrated. Springfield, Kimber, and Colt are all GREAT guns! Taurus also makes a very affordable gun a PT1911. The gun comes fully loaded. In general I stay away from Taurus but have not had a chance to shoot a PT1911...

    Glock Kaboom Alternatives

The "KABOOM FEATURE" with Glock pistols have all been with the .40 cal Glocks. They have also ALL been with reloaded ammo. I am a certified Glock Armorer and assure you that as long as a .40 cal Glock is not fed a reload with just a little too much power, there will be no kaboom in a bad way.

Pros and Cons -- Para SSP vs. Springfield GI

The Springfield is a Springfield. If I were going to buy a loaded 1911 it would be the Springfield TRP. But, that will run you about 1300 dollars. I bought an SSP for cheap and put an ambi thumb safety on it along with nite sites. I love the gun and cannot complain. It shoots like a dream...

    What would you do?

Rock Island is ok... But I would have to suggest a Springfield TRP if you were going to go all out.

    Glock 17 versus Beretta M9A1

Glock all the way but, I would really like to suggest that you consider something other than a 9mm. I do not mind a .40 cal but am a big fan of the .45. If the Glock 21 is a little big for your hand try a Glock 21 SF. It is thier new slim frame. I does not look like much of a difference but...

What is the last gun that you bought?

Glock 21 and I love it so much I am about to go buy the 30!

Scherer 29 round .40 cal Glock Mags

I have purchased 2 of these magazines for duty use and they are garbage! I do not trust them to feed and they jam so often at the range they are not even worth loading up. I have even tried only loading 20 rounds in them. Has anyone tried buying the GLOCK factory spring for the 9mm hi cap...

    Full Auto?

I'll give you that throttlejockey, and Hoppy, I have no problem with the tool other than the fact that it is not practical. Having the 3 round burst option would not be so bad for civilians. However, with full auto I worry about the hands that the tool will end up in if it is not strictly...

    Full Auto?

"shall not be infringed" so it should be the case without any extra fees that Joe Public should be able to get a fully automatic weapon. What would they "need" it for is a red herring to the argument. It is kind of sad with all of the AK47 style and AR15s out there not operating as originally...

    Full Auto?

Wow... I usually do not post in here but, some of the things I have read in this post amaze me. First off I believe it was already said but, needs to be repeated. With a $200 Class III tax stamp everyone citizen with a clean backround can purchase a full auto weapon. Second, why would anyone...

    Kel-Tec Sub 2000 / Good gun but what's missing?

I just purchased a Kel-Tel Sub 2000. I got it chambered in .40 and it will accept Glock Magazines. Normally I stay away from pistol caliber rifles but this one serves my purpose. I like the gun and and I love the way it shoots. It just feels like something is missing to make it an all around...
