Scherer 29 round .40 cal Glock Mags

I have purchased 2 of these magazines for duty use and they are garbage! I do not trust them to feed and they jam so often at the range they are not even worth loading up. I have even tried only loading 20 rounds in them. Has anyone tried buying the GLOCK factory spring for the 9mm hi cap mags and rebuilding the insides of the Scherer Mags?

It might be easier to modify a G18 mag to feed 40. I have had several 40 caliber pistols over the years that fed 40 well from 9mm mags. Never tried it with a Glock 9mm mag so cannot say if that would work. Typically the feed lips in 9mm mags are pretty close to those of 40s, so some gun makers just had their mags designed with lips somewhere in the middle.
