I had a hand shipped from Numrich and installed it... Still getting the same results. It's as if the spring is not pushing it forward enough to always catch the ratchet, but how can that be fixed? Is there some tweaking to the spring that I must do before I install it or something?

Yes, my mistake, they are snap caps, not dummy rounds. I always flop those two around. :uhoh:

I'm using the caps from A- Zoom, they're reading about 1.108" in OAL. FMJ round nose. Is the Luger just tricky to simulate running dummy rounds through it, and may work when live firing?

Thanks rc, I gave that a go and they all seem to be running fine now. Maybe it just hasn't been cycled in a long time? One other thing is that the rounds occasionally jam up with the nose of the bullet right under the extractor groove. I wish I was more familiar with these neat pistols but I...

It was given a thorough cleaning prior to the picture, so the culprit must be the feed throat? It is an older rifle with a lot of rounds through it I believe, so I suppose it'd make sense.

Hey guys, I'm back with another little problem, this time on a Model 60. As the round starts to feed, it 'jumps' up, into the corner of the receiver on the ejection port side... Obviously resulting in a jam. The extractor seem to look fine, ejector will work fine when you hand feed the round...

GOOD NEWS!! It is finally resolved thanks to all you guys who narrowed it down and picked out what it was... That damned little trigger stop. I removed it and gave the revolver a final cleaning, threw it together, and it is working great. I really appreciate all the input and help... You...

Found another problem... I threw in the cylinder for ****s and giggles and the action is locked up when installed.

To my knowledge, nothing has been done to the revolver in terms of modification. It was recently stripped down because the spring on the hand was not placed properly back on its leg it sits on during a past reassembly. Could it be something as simple as a piece misaligned/misplaced when it was...

I'll definitely look into a new extractor and recoil spring. It is tough to tell which spring is in there now as these parts were from a box tucked away, so who knows the original specs.. Thanks guys!
