Thanks for all the advice. I think that I'll look for some of the Speer Ammo when I pick up the pistol. I saw a Bowen rear sight that would work with a XO big dot front sight. What do you think of that set up? Lars

I've shot some of the S&B through an 18" 870. It was not as tight as some of the Federal loads I've tried and it always seemed to have a flier or two.

Back in High-School I shot 4-H small bore competitions. It seems that a lot of the Girls did very well at it. I think it had to do with the fact that a lot of them didn't have to be untrained before learning to shoot properly.

I had a VEPR in 223 and got rid of it. It was very well made and everything that my SAR-1 was not, but it just felt uncomfortable to shoot. It wasn't so much the weight but the way it balanced. Make sure you handle one before you buy. Lars

I sold everthing except my 870 and my son's henry. I t was a pretty bad year to try to start my own business.
