I've got one,I don't love it,Ruger P90sumthing. Never noticed any recoil I don't like,but hammer bites me. A friends .40 cal Witness is a dang fine weapon though,I can't miss with it,and recoil is low. (May be snappy,but I never noticed,I'll pay more attention next time)

I had one,like K4swb it was my first rifle,and like him I sold mine. It worked perfectly and I kick myself every time I see one. Accurate,and I didn't know that .22s were supposed to jam until I got my 597 Remington. (597 is okay now,but man did it suck when I got it)

My .280 shoots the bearclaws really well,140Grains is more than is really needed with the whitetails,but better than not enough. A .260 is a new one on me.

funny thing about all the Ruger bashing,I've owned 3 of them,a Mini-14,a M77MKII and a SP101,they all were accurate as I think they should be. The Mini was the closest to be a disappointment,it made 2-3" groups at 100yd...that was a problem if you were going to try and kill a thundering herd...

I think they thought it would make the barrel stiffer to make it triangular,at least that's what it claims on the Remington website. It's not my favorite look,but I don't need another .223 anyway.

Yeah,they work good,.270s are a little hard on deer anyway,but if that's what you are hunting with they'll work fine. Shoot them in the head or neck and save a little meat :)
