    25-06 best choice?

I have one in a ruger m77. Very accurate, very flat shooting, mild recoil, it's really a great round. Usually very easy to find ammo for as well. Not many down falls. You can load it to shoot a very long way if you so choose. The best?? No. The best for hunting in my opinion is a short mag...

    What happened to suppressor legislation?

I was curious as to what became of the legislation to take suppressors off the NFA/ATF list? Seems like most everything current is state by state basis and the federal level stuff all was posted within a couple days on October 22 and 23. I dont think its honestly going to matter much either...

    223 for deer update

Definitely the wrong bullet if the exit and entrance were the same size. Dont try this on anything other than deer, but use some black hills reman with VMax. They dump most of the energy in the deer rather than going through it. A shoulder shot will still end up with the bullet going at least...

    Bullet Drift From Wind

I was going to mention this as well. That weight is part of the ballistic coefficient determination so more weight leaves you with a higher bc. Bc is really a combination of factors you would normally have to enter one by one but the manufacturer is usually nice enough to just give you a number...

    Bullet Drift From Wind

Put it this way, my 308 at 600 yards with 41.7 gr 4064 and 175 smk needed 32 in of correction to combat the wind. The wind would some times slow down to 3 mph and I had to recorrect to 10 in from original zero. At 900 yards I had less then 4 in of vertical spread. I think with 41.9 gr, I had...

    AR10 6.5 Creedmoor Build Options

First things first...Ive never build an AR. I contemplated it before I build my precision rifle, but decided that Id rather have a precision rifle good to 2000 yards or so and then build an AR later. My budget was way over shot, but I like the gun and Im glad I have what I have. That being...

    Reflex/compact sight under 200?

The reason I want a reflex style sight is the sight picture is more open. I looked at POV through both the fastfire III and PA Micro and the micro has a pretty thick frame around the FOV. The fastfire seems like it just has a thin frame around the sight picture.

    Reflex/compact sight under 200?

Great deal! Mossberg 500. If I go sabots, then my rifled barrel has a weaver or picatinny. If I'm shooting fosters, I can get a base as the receiver is drilled and tapped

    Reflex/compact sight under 200?

So I have to exclude primary arms. They looked promising, but I very quickly found that one reflex version will not work in low light reliably if at all. The other one is not shotgun compatible. I will very likely be using it on a shotgun loaded with slugs some times. Do I need to...no, but I...

    Reflex/compact sight under 200?

I'm looking to put a secondary sight next to my 6-24 viper pst. For coyotes, they like to either be really far away or sneak up on you so I'm thinking I'll either put a 45° or side mount on my rings. Here is a good visual of what I'm thinking about. Basically I don't need a super super sight...

If you could buy a bullpup chassis for your bolt rifle, would you?

Man, this thread is givin me a good laugh with the comments. Anyways, the trigger is moved foward and linked to the actual mechanism via linkage (typical of bull pups) so that it will stay in the normal postion you are use too, not back where the action is. As far as the bolt goes, im not...

If you could buy a bullpup chassis for your bolt rifle, would you?

Basically, yes, you offset the bolt handle. Im not marketing these in anyway, but i met with a guy a while back who was interested in making and selling these things. Really talked it up, but I was kind of skeptical that the business model was really going to keep him floating. Maybe as a one or...

If you could buy a bullpup chassis for your bolt rifle, would you?

Curious as to whether or not your would buy a bull pup stock if it was available for your gun, was priced around 1000$, and maintained original trigger and bolt handle position

    Which ones like it dirty?

Over cleaning ishard on guns. People who think they need to bring their gun every time wear the barrels out. It doesn't hurt to mob the barrel after a few dozen shots and oil the barrel before long storage. Other than that, I leave them alone. I don't think your gonna lock up a gun until you get...

    tactical or practical?

Here is the problem with your question...what is tactical and what is hunting? That is like saying what is the difference between billet and cast parts...the product is the same and functions probably similar but they look different and one might be slightly stronger. "Tactical" i see as a...
