Finish Stripper that takes out Stain?

I tried the Minwax with no success, although it did do a good job of taking off finish from the chair I accidentally spilled it on :uhoh:. Very fast working. I'll try the chlorine, great link, thanks.

Finish Stripper that takes out Stain?

I'll be using Birchwood Casey stain, I'm pretty sure it's water based. What's left is blotted areas of stain around the grip and side of the stock that doesn't want to come out. I'll see if I can find that in town. Thanks for the help.

Finish Stripper that takes out Stain?

Is there any type of finish stripper that will also take out the stain of the wood? I'm having trouble getting some of the old stain from the hardwood stock on my Savage Mk I. So far all I've found is possibly Klean-Strip Refinisher, however I'm not sure if I'll be able to find it. Anyone know...

    Canadian elections

Harper also won't want to tarnish the image of the party, he wants Canadians to see the party as the center party, which they pretty much are. At best, hopefully he will completely repeal the Firearms Act, rather than just get rid of the gun registration part. Right now police don't even need a...

    Canadian elections

AR15s are considered restricted and can't be used for hunting, them along with handguns and a few other (mean looking) guns will still have to be registered (as it has been since 1934). But at least it's a step in the right direction. And i highly doubt concealed carry will ever be legal in...

    Canadian elections

Expect the gun registry gone within 3 months. They're going to be introducing one huge bill including many criminal amendments, erasing the gun registry, along with many other bills that were scrapped when the liberals shut down the govt. (I'm assuming that includes the self defense/citizens...

    Remington 597

I'd say the Marlin 60 is better than the 597 for accuracy and quality, but a stock 597 beats a stock 10/22. The main things I like about the 597 is the stock is very well designed and fits good and it has good sights, making it very easy to shoot, despite lacking the accuracy of the 60 I might...

    Pump Action .22

A good used Remington 572, I don't think the new ones are of the same quality since the takeover, have one of the originals and it's a pretty good gun, not bad accuracy, somewhere around 1.25 - 1.5" @ 50 yds. Other good choices would be the Henry or a well priced Winchester 61/62.

Is Winchester Bringing M94 Back (not limited)?

I was actually talking about the 30/30 not the big boy, I've handled a golden boy and another of their .22s, the golden boy had too far of a drop in the stock, other than that I liked it. Personally I prefer steel or even aluminum to brass so I wouldn't want a big boy. Also they stopped using...

Is Winchester Bringing M94 Back (not limited)?

The 30/30 with the brass reciever is 8.3 pounds but the one with steel is 7lbs, not much more than a marlin.

    Any Smith & Wesson rumors?

Don't think there's anything new from S&W, but a Kahr PM9 is another choice, $700 at Cabela's and would probably top the quality of the others.

Is Winchester Bringing M94 Back (not limited)?

I completely disagree, I had plenty of Brownings (including a Winchester/Browning 1892 commemorative) and none were too accurate, they looked nice but quality should include accuracy (and durability when it comes to the POS SA-22) and I have plenty of Marlins and they all shoot accurately and I...
