Elkins45 you are absolutely right, although i'm already aware of that. The thing is that i want a firearm that have more uses and options, not two separate ones. Having two 10/22 with different setups is not an option for the application i will be using it for, for several reasons. The most...
It's all in my name "Mad"... :)
Anyhow i'm scrapping this idea. Probably going to get this base: http://www.coolguyguns.com/Scope-Base-Ruger-1022_p_19.html
Low profile version of course.
And combine it with this mount: http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-scope-mount-qd-lt807-34...
That is almost exactly what i'm looking for, although i'm not sure the quality of a Weaver brand base will be good enough for a quick release ring. Also it isn't silver colored but that can easily be fixed or ignored.
Cause i will only use one of the pieces for a one ring based scope. And i don't really like how the rails look, so with one short little piece it wont be that visible.
I know it's really corny... I'm ashamed! :o
I'm looking for a very specific scope mount for the 10/22.
It doesn't matter if its Weaver, Picatinny or whatever, but it has to be a two-piece mount with a cut out so one can use the iron sights and preferably is should have a silverish color.
Anyone seen one of those for the 10/22...
I know, i know... It is probably a subject that has been hammered to smithereens and that the word "best" is a matter of opinion. Anyhow, i thought that a new thread once in a while is nice as firearms production changes overtime which might affect quality.
So my main requirements are: 22LR...
Rifle: A selective fire BD42/II in 8mm Mauser

Shotgun: A 12 Gauge Ziegenhahn

Pistol: A Glock 18 9mm, maybe with a foregrip
Revolver: A Korth 500...
Well i am actually longing for proper .22 centerfires, something along the lines of a .22LRC (LRC=Long Rifle Centerfire).
Perhaps a family of .22 with the same bullet size but different case lengths, preferably rimmed straight walled cases.
Thank you armoredman, i'll post some pics when i have found some nice place to settle down in. And it's not a new homeland as i see it, it's just an extra homeland :)
To Leadhead:
As i have understand it cantons are kind of like states, they control some local legislation. Today i read...
I'd like to know which Canton in Switzerland has the most liberal gun laws or where i might find the answer to that question?
The reason for this question is that i'm moving to Switzerland, i already have my Swiss membership and as a shooting enthusiast the right "location" is very important...
Hello people, i'm looking for a new target revolver and don't really know what to get. The only "must be" is that it is .22LR, if it is a no longer produced model or brand new dosent matter. Finding a used good gun isn't hard if i know what to look for and a new gun is always fun. I haven't...
I have been thinking about making some solid non-expanding flat nosed copper bullets for my .25 ACP Baby Browning for SD use. I carry the Baby when nothing else fits the requirements. But there are no jacketed flat nosed bullets available for the 25. So i thought as i have access to a workshop...
