It means it looks like a new gun but only while it is in the box....if you take it out of the box it would be "like new out of the box".....but you can never fire it because you probably wont like it.

After rereading the OP I may have also missed the intent of the original question about how do we justify to ourselves....well this has a simple answer also...nobody here has to justify large gun collections because we are never wrong....and I dare anyone to claim otherwise.

Deep philosophical questions like the one posted here are restricted to conversations between your significant other and only at the appropriate time....you should never try to justify anything with your loved one until you hold an advantage ...that is, he or she has indulged in too much...

It all depends on if it "talks to me". I'll look at a particular gun many times over the course of contemplating a purchase,but it has too hook me with something ....be it history,performance unlike similar guns or even just the challenge of learning new ballistics. I have had impulse buyers...

I use mine,it calls out to me to use it.I dont have the will power to let it sit around gathering dust.But if you have too,just heed the warning labels and cross yer fingers yer house dont burn down.

Your friend doesnt have a good understanding of societies varying histories,nor does he/she comprehend human behavior in a realistic light.To try and "enlighten" this individual would take a healthy amount of time and effort,not to mention expanding their exposure to other viewpoints,societal...

Maybe the guy was just that good of a shot that he could put the bullet where he wanted....cant fault him for incredible shooting.

You would have to approach it from a constitutional angle and cover all "anti" states....to much money, time, and manpower to chip away at all the local laws to ever see any real improvement.

Light is probably not prefered in those calibers,something has to absorb all that energy,might as well be the gun.I've read the 460 has larger numbers ballistically,but other than seeing them behind glass cabinets I couldnt tell you much....wish I could though, even if only for 5 rounds or...4...

Its probably lead poisoning...effects the brain
