I held off thumb hole stocks for a long time, not thinking I'd like them, but after getting one, I changed my mind. I REALLY like thumb hole stocks. You wont be disappointed.

Lived in Cheyenne for over 25 years. Had to move for health reasons, but sure hated to. Loved Wyoming and still miss it.

You have a really nice looking/shooting rifle. I have yet to see a regular mil rifle go for anywhere near 2 to 2.5 K. I believe that it is your rifle, do whatever the hell YOU want to. I started off with a great Swede and, for ME, made it better.

Went to a gun show here yesterday. For a case of 1000 .223 they wanted $1200, an M&P-15 $2995, an Century underfolder $995, and an M1A was $4495. I managed a 50 cal ammo can for $12. I knew it would be crazy, but that was ridiculous.

Did you read the OPs post? He wants to keep the PRICE down. He doesn't want the top of the line upper. PSA always gets good feed back on their products and customer service.
