air rifle scope on Ruger 10 22?

appreciate much input. I'll use my BSA on the Ruger for a while. I'll move on to a center fire rifle soon, so, I was thinking to buy a quality scope like a Leupold might as well. I got 2 boxes of ammo (1100 rounds for just $40!) for the coming weekend and am ready to rock. Another newbie...

air rifle scope on Ruger 10 22?

I bought my first "fire" rifle, Ruger 10 22. I have a decent air rifle scope (BSA, 2-7x32mm) and wonder if I can use it on Ruger, at least before I buy a quality scope for the rifle. I know a real rifle scope can't be used on an air rifle. Also, if someone recommends me quality rimfire...

    a wavy surface in a 1911 barrel

I have no way to measurte it. It's subtle, however, it's clearly seen. I wish I could take a picture to post.

    a wavy surface in a 1911 barrel

I called Kimber tech support at New York. They seem to be well aware of that and say it's a process imperfection and shouldn't affect performance or accuracy at all. I wonder if other barrels have similar patterns. It's a bore surface and right below lock-up lugs.

    a wavy surface in a 1911 barrel

The barrel of my Kimber Custom II has a wavy inner surface just below the lock-up contact area. Other part of the surface is smooth and I don't see any wavy pattern or irregularity. The gun is fairly new and is under 1000 shots (mostly 185 gr target ammo). Is this normal? Regards.

    9 mm Luger reloading

I much appreciate your help, Beau. But, being a newbie and silly, I'm comfortable to remain anonymous in the public domain. I've learned a lot in this forum in a quick time frame and would like to bring a closure to my original thread. Thank you and everybody.

    9 mm Luger reloading

9 mm reloading is inherently temperamental, I realized. It's hard to distinguish from 38 cal caeses to begine with, rims can brake and cases stuck in the sizing die, better be careful in powder amount, etc. I didn't start reloading 9 mm if there were not the recent panic ammunition market. 45...

a trigger stop metal screw in a ploymer pistol

Thanks, Riss. The trigger doesn't look like replaceable, but, wanted an expart opinion. My G17 functions fine and hope it stays like that for a long time. Regards.

a trigger stop metal screw in a ploymer pistol

You guys know metal is harder than polymer, and it's amazing to realize some on-line shops are selling junk stuff which damages guns. I'd better wise up. I'm thinking to replace the trigger with a stock trigger. Is it possible to remove the trigger from the trigger bar, and is someone selling...

a trigger stop metal screw in a ploymer pistol

Thanks for your info, Riss. I shouldn't have bought the trigger with the metal screw. Overtravel of G17 is not much and for the way I use the pistol (mostly in defense shooting match), I didn't need trigger stop.

a trigger stop metal screw in a ploymer pistol

I'm using a competition trigger assembly with a trigger stop metal screw in my Glock17. The first time I used the assembly, I set the trigger stop just a little bit higher than the stock trigger stop on the other side of the trigger. The result is that the metal screw made a gouge on the...

    9 mm Luger reloading

I loaded cartridges with 3.5, 3.7 and 3.9 grains of powder (40 rounds for each weight, good for one IDPA match). 3.5 grain catridges did everything okay and were most confortable. So, I'll stick to 3.5 grain for a while. Also, I realized that my small electronics powder scale is temparamental...

9mm case stuck in size/decap die

The screwdriver method worked. It took a dozen of whacks. I'm on the way to get a bolt which has the same threds as the decap assembly has and try the suggested method at the next time. Thanks.

    9 mm Luger reloading

I'm hot in IDPA events now, so, I thought powder at max would be good to knock off a steel plate with a single shot (I'm switching from 45 ACP to 9 mm). However, shooting accuracy would be still more important than bullet energy. I refined adjustments of my loading equipment, and powder is now...
