Thanks for the help
I bought the gun pre-owned and I have never fired it and it is in beautiful condition. Regarding it being a Performance Center I dont think it is . I believe there is usually an indication of such on the box , which I have , but I could be wrong . Thanks .
I was wondering if anybody may know an approximate value of a .41 Smith and Wesson revolver . I have tried researching this particular firearm to see what it might be selling for out there but have not seen the exact model. I have seen others similar but the specifications not exact - such as...
I would also check with the state / local jurisdiction laws in addition to the airline and TSA guidelines as mentioned above. I am pretty sure you cannot check in a firearm in New Jersey airports ( at least not Newark ) and also LaGuardia and JFK airports in Queens ( New York City ) to the best...
I noticed recently ( on Ruger's website ) that Ruger no longer has any of it's firearms chambered for the .480 Ruger cartridge- a round they developed- in their line-up . Anybody have any insight on this . Thanks .
Only a moron
would make fun of somebody holding a gun. I usually keep to myself at the range. I would never make fun of a persons gun ( this stays true of one's job, car, financial situation, etc.). Only someone with low self-esteem would say something stupid at the range. However, I did have...
I have one.
Great gun. Factory ammo is fairly expensive and is generally not as readily available as more the more common, older and more established calibers. Also, most store-bought ammo tends not to be loaded to the cartridges full potential. However, excellent full-house loads are available...
Had (key word)
a very unreliable Charter Arms .357 magnum. On occasion, the cylinder would lock and the hammer would freeze in motion when attempting to fire in double-action. I was actually a good looking gun, nice blue finish and the original rose-wood grips with a deep oil finsh. But whats...
In my experience
the quality between each specific gun tends to vary greatly for most inexpensive firearms manufactures. I have had many Charters, Taurus ( hope I don't offend anyone here) etc. and there is a lack of consistancy in quality between the individual guns. Currently, my " knock...
Personally,
I favor stainless to blue and 4 inches of barrel over 6. All things being equal, I like the aestetics of the Colt better. Both are good guns but I would take the Colt.
Very Nice
Nice gun...don't sell any other guns to absorb the cost unless you have kids or other such important obligations. As for the wife, I would keep my mouth shut and hide the bank statement.;)
This is my favorite caliber
It has a lot of potential..especially if your are able to order Buffalo Bore, etc. premium ammuntion. It has even more potential if you handload. The only problem is that the most commonly available ammunition is significantly less potent than it could / should be.
Cooper's Corner
The most interseting insight on the last page of one of the greatest magazines...save the best for last. Rest In Peace Col. Cooper, Sir.
I'm with 22 - Rimfire
on the .480 Ruger. Great cartridge...even more so if you have the advantage to handload. Hope more catch on to this round and it's potential.
