Yeah I didnt see that when posting my question. As far as the press, it was opened but never used by a friend. I ordered the rod and plastic part that goes around the ram separate. I must have clicked on the wrong rod. Until about 30 seconds ago I did not know they had 2 sizes.
I tried putting the ratchet piece in both ways and nothing. I am uploading pics so maybe you all will be able to see what the problem is.
When the ram is up
Hard to see but the ram is down here.
Greetings everyone. So before I burn my new press in a fit of rage I could really use some help. I bought a Lee 4 hole press and I cant figure out this auto indexing thing. I have the rod, nut, black neck thing that goes on the ram, square ratchet, and screw that holds it together. Am I...
Below are some I just did using a small brush and some black Testers paintI had from a past project. Not bad considering it took about two minutes. I know it looks like there are huge "globs" there, but there arent really that big.
Just wondering if there would be any bad effects to painting the tips of my .223/5.56 bullets. I buy various weights in various amounts when I find a sale or deal, and rather than have 20 different boxes of ammo laying around, I would prefer to just paint the tips and leave a color key in the...
I took a picture of three casings. The one in the middle has not had a crimp removed, but the ones on the left and right have. I used a drill bit to hit it for just a second to get this result. I realize that this is not ideal, but it is what I have at the moment. Am I removing too much...
I am glad that this got posted. I live in the same area and now know to avoid them like the plague. That is a terrible way to do business. Sorry about your rifle.
honestly if they are sized to what you need and they are totally coated, I wouldnt have a problem shooting them. Some of my bullets get a little dinged in the process and are just fine.
Locally our HF is running a sale for 53.99 on the electrostatic coaters. I know that may not be an option for most people, but the overall finish is superb. With the red and black powders, I can easily coat over 450 bullets per hour in my toaster oven. I bake for about 15 minutes at 400. If...
White is not a favored color for pc over on castboolits. If the members there do have it, they usually mix it with another color to use it. Black and red are what you want to try to get. Im not saying white wont work, but it is much tougher to use then the other colors.
So I was at my LGS store today. It is the only one for about an hour and a half in any direction that attempts to stock reloading supplies/equipment. Usually they only have weird powders in stock that nobody really uses, but today I was shocked to walk in and see a few bottles of Alliant...
I don't sore any brass unless the headlamp becomes problematic for some reason.
have some ar15 brass going on 7 firings. Just don't load to the max and make sure the dies are adjusted right. Take care of the brass and it will easily get more than 4 shots.
Greetings everyone. I was wondering if any users had some load data they could share with me. I recently was able to get my hands on some PB (not what I went for, but I will take what I can get). I cast my own bullets with a lee mold, and once they are ready to load they are in the 178 grain...
Went to the range for a bit today. Using 3.0 grains of PB, My sig 2022 would not cycle. It would fail to eject the round. My friend using a G19 was able to cycle all of the rounds loaded at 3.0 grains. Ill load up a little more and try again. Will post results asap.
