Greetings everyone. I was wondering if any users had some load data they could share with me. I recently was able to get my hands on some PB (not what I went for, but I will take what I can get). I cast my own bullets with a lee mold, and once they are ready to load they are in the 178 grain range. I was looking at the hodgdon site, but all they have in the 180 grain range are BERB FP bullets. Not sure if those were jacketed or plated so I didnt use the data yet, but it shows a starting load of 4.7 to a max of 5.1 grains. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Would I be safe starting in the 4.5 range and working up from there? Thanks again.

5.1 seems to be a standard max. for that bullet weight with IMR sources:

Speers 12th edition, 1995, went a little higher with 180gr Jacketed bullets.
LEE gives IMR loads, no surprise, for a 180 XTP.

I frequently go below starting loads with these fast powders in autoloaders without problems.

Those are Berry's thin plated bullets and are loaded like lead.
Amazed you can find any data.
PB is very clean and slow enough not to have bad pressure spikes in .40.
