    G19 vs SR9 vs FNX9

Well, the FNX is full ambi (safety, slide stop and mag release) and can be carried hammer down DA/SA or cocked and locked. The grip angle will also be much closer to your 1911s. For a 1911 guy, it seems the logical choice.

Ideas for Hanging Guns on The Wall

Home improvement stores sell white pegboard and plastic strips to finish off the edges. Looks real clean. If you want to go upscale look at: https://wallcontrol.com/Index.htm or http://www.alligatorboard.com/

4473 not signed - seller demands my return.

Yeah, you need to get that signed to cover yourself. First, the 4473 needs to stay on premises in case ATF does an inspection. The dealer can't have a transfer in his book without the 4473 on site. So mail or even a courier can't handle this. Worst case: the FFL contacts ATF to cover their...

My LGS has Guns They WONT Sell Me

No, it's true. FN is allowing the versions with no manual safety to only be sold to LE. If your dealer sold it to you, FN would be very upset.

    Has Beretta dropped the Cheetah?

The Cheetah is just a beautiful pistol. They are expensive and the modern trend for 380's is now (unfortunately) for a polymer-framed hideout the size of a matchbook. Handling and shooting a Cheetah is sublime. I hope the market for them returns.

    Light strike with GP100

A quick and fun test of hammer power is to cock the revolver, drop a pencil in the barrel, eraser first, point the muzzle straight up and pull the trigger. I use a Bic pen, but the idea is the same. My stock GP100 will launch a Bic at least 10 feet in the air, so watch the ceiling. This is...

    Should I get an 84?

They are expensive because they are worth it. Actually, $550 is a great price. Here is Mrs. Tango's 84fs in front of its cousin my Browning BDA380. Note the open top slide and the frame mounted safety lever, compared to the BDA. The Beretta has been 100 percent reliable and a joy to shoot...

    Is this a modl 19?

Joe, open the cylinder and look at the stamp on the frame under the crane. You'll see a model number, probably like this:

    Lightweight snubbies

Well, the 642 and the 442 are the same gun, both aluminum frame, but one is stainless and the other is carbon steel. Both weigh 15 oz. Matt, you make an excellent point, the grips make a world of difference. When I run the classic grips like below, recoil is like a 2x4 to the hand. The...

    Lightweight snubbies

Between the 629 and the 442 Airweight below: if you show both to an inexperienced shooter (men or women) and ask them to guess which has more recoil, you almost always get something like "that big one looks like a hand cannon, the little one looks more my style". But, compared to the 38 spl...
