I for get the model number, maybe 84. It used to be available in 380 and I think 22 LR. Has it been dropped from their product line?

I believe Beretta stopped importing the 85, 84, and 87 to the U.S.

I love my Beretta 84b. I don't carry it much anymore since I picked up my Kahr CW45. It weighs the same loaded as the Beretta but its almost half an inch thinner. I will say I never felt under gunned with 14 rounds of 380 jhp:)

The Cheetah is just a beautiful pistol. They are expensive and the modern trend for 380's is now (unfortunately) for a polymer-framed hideout the size of a matchbook. Handling and shooting a Cheetah is sublime. I hope the market for them returns.

I absolutely love my LCP for what it is, but I believe the Cheetah to be the pinnacle of the .380 cartridge. A perfect gun/cartridge pairing.

Glad I bought mine when I did,,,

According to Wikipedia,,,
They discontinued the Cheetahs in 2013

I had always wanted a Beretta 92,,,
They are the sexiest semi-auto ever made,,,
But the grip is too fat for my hands so I never bought one.

Then I handled my former mother-in-laws model 85,,,
Right after she bought it new in 1980,,,
I've wanted one since then.

Just two years ago I found and purchased a very nice used model 85,,,
Then I decided I needed a model 87 (.22 LR) to go with it,,,
I bought it new and am now very glad that I did.

The Model 85 usually lives in my briefcase form guntotenmamas.com,,,
The Model 87 sees a lot of range time.

I have better semi-auto rimfire pistols,,,
But none that are more fun for me to shoot,,,
The Beretta Cheetah brings out my inner James Bond. :D

in August of last year I checked with a local Beretta dealer on the availability of an 87 at that point they were still available and I believe Bud's had 80's on their site right up to the craziness. I can't login to the Beretta site to submit a FAQ but that would be more reliable than Wiky

From the berettausa website,,,

This doesn't mean they are discontinued from being manufactured,,,
It just means they may no longer available in the US.

Just for grins,,,

Just for grins,,,
I called my LGS and he contacted his distributor.

He said they still have several of the 85's and 87's in stock,,,
So they are still available even though Beretta has discontinued advertising them.

And don't forget, there are a bunch of nice ones, and nice Browning BDA 380's on the auction sites. I got a really nice old style triggerguard 84 for about 45% of what a new one usually went for.
