i remember the founder (piaza, or something, right?), used a dashcam of a police officer benig gun downed to help sell his classes. instead of quoting the story, he had to show the video of the man being murdered. granted, he had a good point, however i don't see politicians showing...
ok, flame on...
but seriously guys, we live in a lawsuit society. if they don't ban them for sale eventually SOMEBODY will sue them. sure there are other online vendors that do, but ebay is a big name with a lot of capital, they're a big target. craigslist has done it, i'm surprised amazon...
i shoulda just gone with the cmmg.
let me know how that shoots, i meant to do my AR build for around $700, and i shudder just think bout how high i am right now.
hmmm, lets see:
bcm 16" middy shipped with bcg and ch: $580
mega lower shipped+FFL: $130
RRA LPK and...
yet another vote for backpage.com
some of the larger cities are almost TOO busy. i'm in tucson and there are a few listings every day, sometimes something worth looking at.
i had an FEG GKK .45 i bought for $150 that was "used".
stripped it down and it seemed as though it had never been opened up, fired even once, and it still had the factory shipping goo on the inside.
i have a love/hate relationship with mine.
i love the ergonomics and feel, i hate the reliability haha. that is JUST MINE though, i bought it used and some tool swapped a couple of parts he shouldn't have. have a couple things coming in the mail monday though.
other than the problems...
the only reason i got my g26 is because they didn't have any of the 19s for LE discount pricing at the 4 shops i checked.
i'd get the g19. not having a pinky on the grip makes it more difficult to shoot. i woudln't say harsher per se, but i don't enjoy shooting the 26 as much as a 19...
i have both an xd9sc and a g26. the xd9 was used, and has 100 rnds through it with no hiccups on my part. previous owner replaced the recoil rod/spring, so i'm assuming the round count is decent, however it appears in good shape. that said, i've shot some beat to hell glocks that didn't fail...
post pics and total cost when done.
kind of wanted to do similar, but it seemed like for the money you could get a decent used bolt gun that's already tacticool.
my cz pcr seems to hate the stuff. shoots relatively ok, but jams at least a couple of times per range session. doesn't do that with any of the other cheap stuff (blazer, indie, black hills, etc)
that said, my glock and xd eat it just the same as anything else. i'd go for it, that's a...
i work at a hotel and i'm not allowed to have one, even in my car.
that said, i'm lookin over at my car which i parked up at the front of the drive with my xd in the center console as i type this.
if this hotel doesn't want me to carry in some form or another, maybe they should stop...
picked up an xd 9sc last week, and just got a savage mk-II F yesterday. have never been impressed with .22 accuracy til yesterday at the range. was nailing 2" groups on a black target with leaf irons at a rapid rate using cheap bulk ammo. can't wait til i get some better sights or some optics...
while we're on the subject...
what do you guys use to get to your guns? i have 3 unsecured handguns in the apartment, however if i'm gone i usually pack them somewhere at least hard to find (under bolted/heavy appliances etc).
somethin small that i can get to in a hurry that is...
9mm. capacity, decent power with defense loads, cheaper to practice with.
on the other hand, i just got my first .45 last week and i suspect that will be my favorite caliber once i get a press
