    Underpenetrator vs Overpenetraror

Of those two, the underpenetrator. The FBI guidelines are based on "worst case" scenario, so I'll take the larger expansion at an inch or two less. If there were any more lost penetration, though, I'd go the other direction.

Movie: "Jane Got A Gun" released with little advance notice

Harvey was an executive producer on Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, so we know exactly how much his anti-gun stance is worth when money is on the line.

    Damn, I have a $160 range bag :P

If it makes you feel any safer, I took my range bag with me on a flight and asked the TSA guy about that while he was giving me the Freedom Grope™. He said that the sniffers were tuned to look for plastic explosives and he'd never seen one set off by stray flecks of gunpowder.

Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Looks like a dryer sheet, maybe? To keep static from building up? I may have to try that out…

Show us a picture of your reloading bench

My own humble bench, built after about a year of reloading. Powder, bullets, and brass are stored on the lower shelves. Please excuse the fact that it appears to have been taken by a potato, the light down in the basement is not especially good (which is why I added the flourescent...

Bicyclist tries to open my van door..

Why are you so ready to believe that one side would be willing to escalate the argument to violence out of fear, but not that the other side might be willing to escalate the argument violence out of anger?

Bicyclist tries to open my van door..

Does that mean you can't come up with an example, and you're covering it up with accusations? I can come up with a few, but zero that apply in this situation. So please, enlighten me. Considering it a reason for alarm/threat assesment seems to be exactly what Mr. Sutton did. He didn't draw...

Bicyclist tries to open my van door..

I'm having trouble thinking of a legitimate, non-threatening reason for someone to attempt to open a stranger's vehicle door. Can you give us an idea of what you think was going through this guy's head?

    Hodgdon CFE Pistol Powder

No access to a chronograph, but 5.9 grains under a 115 gr Berry's RN was very accurate for me.

Concealed Carry Permit Hassles (or not?) based on State

I posted a link to and several quotes from the statutes earlier in the thread. You may only transport a loaded handgun if you have an LTCF. You can transport an unloaded handgun "in a secure wrapper", but only if you are going to or from the range, the gun store, a gunsmith, to a class...

Concealed Carry Permit Hassles (or not?) based on State

You can't open carry in a vehicle (without an LTCF) either.

Concealed Carry Permit Hassles (or not?) based on State

I am not a lawyer, but either you misunderstood something or someone is giving you bad information. Here's the relevant statute—you want section 6106. First, the PA License to Carry Firearms only applies to handguns. "Firearms" are defined in the statute as follows: And loaded is defined...

Is Constitutional Carry a good idea?

I think basic firearm safety should be taught in schools. We teach kids how to be safe with "stop, drop and roll", Mr. Yuck, and swimming lessons, right?

Why would background checks require gun registration?

I guess it depends on how honest you think the average person is. Would you sell a gun to someone you knew was a violent felon? I'm going to assume not, since it's a felony with up to a 10 year sentence. If you were selling to a stranger and you could call in a background check without...

Is this the most Annoying Anti-Gun Statement?

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics This comes from misreadings/misunderstandings of several studies that have been conducted on firearms and death rates. Suicide The suicide figures frequently quoted suffer from a significant amount of selection bias...
